Ye average Liverpool Bus.

I very rarely get busses nowadays because I prefer to walk and bus prices are getting beyond the joke, but I had to today. I went up to me sisters in Halewood for a roast but the bus coming home was a nightmare.

If you get on a bus in Liverpool you're certain to see one of the following characters.

1) teenage lads smoking on the back seat carrying on like they're the only person who has ever smoked on the bus. Then they're doing that talking through the nose "I'm havin' a bifter on the back on the bus lad" (spoken at one word every minute)

2) teenage girls either knocking you out cold with the amount of perfume they've got on or giving you an head ache while they abuse someone on the phone. Middle of winter and you've got the windows open freezing to death because otherwise the perfume would kill you. Then the abuse down the phone where every other word being "F**k"

3) The old woman telling you how the city looked when she was a kid. Not shutting up for a good half hour.

4) The drunk old fella just giving grief to everyone who gets on.

5) The family with the pram who refuse to move when it's a chocker block bus and nobody can get past.

The bus (74) today had 1,2,4and 5. It was a nightmare trying to get home.

Hope the Roast was worth it then

I'm far too much of a snob to get the bus for all of the above reasons.

This is the only bus I would ever get on, its the 17c which runs past me mums up to the ground.

That bus never ever fails to make me smile everytime I see it Smiggs. Have you seen the double decker one that goes through Bootle?

By the way - I HATE buses. Always have done.

Haven't seen that one Ken, I'll keep me eyes open for it. Is it a 60 or 81 or neither ??

i think people STINK on the buses, thats why i dont get on them, their all f***in poor and cant afford a car or a taxi
i used to get the 10 to st helens every morining, the driver would slam on at every stop, i would have a bad back, and decided to get a mop head...scooter, which was well better and probably a lot cheaper, and you didnt need a crash helmet when you went past the bluebell, cuz kids used to brick the bus there nearly every night

I hate London buses..but i have to use them because it would take about an hour to get to college if i walked!!

The things you mentioned in your post DLS is true down here as well!! Also to add to that, we always get school kids running up and down the stairs thinking they're cool!!
