Press officer Let's get on to football. Let's have an agreement that everything said so far, if anyone has got their tapes on, it's wiped off and we're not discussing it.

Journalist But that's what Joe has said he thinks of us.

Press officer I'm saying don't push it. Let's accept what's been said and try and move on.

Journalist: Move on to not doing any more press conferences?

PO: No, to doing something now.

There was a reporter from the Express I think, on Setanta Sports this morning, he was pissing himself laughing about that interview, he said it shows the true Kinear.  He had worked as a junior sports reporter years ago and Kinear was exactly the same then.  He said he hasn't changed a bit and thats exactly how he is.

In one way I can understand a bit of rage, because obviously some people wont have the nouce to handle some of the media, like other people can.

But I think this one's slighlty over the top. He's shot himself in the foot for any decent work in the future. He's given any journalist who doesn't really think much of him, more than a years worth of fuel to have a go. Plus he's put even more gloom on the toon.

Personally I've got no problem in Joe Kinnear carrying on like this. Realistically he's not going to get another job in the top two divisons of English football, so why not grab all the attention while you've got the chance.

It's getting worse for the Newcastle fans, apparently Gerry Francis is wanted to help Joe Kinnear in a coaching role.
