I dont even think he is that good, alrite he battles for the ball an works hard an gets assists, but he hardly scores goals for a striker, I mean come on were liverpool we shouldnt be buying free transfers and players who cost 4 million pounds, cause there simply not good enought for teams challenging for the title.

And if torres gets injured or something we cant just go o dont worry we have got heskey up front because he cant score, he scored 4 goals last season an am  notbothered what type of striker he is, 4 goals a season if disgraceful for a ST esapically one liverpool are apparently interesed in.

Skrtel signed for only 6.5 million last January, Arby was bought for less than that (roughly 4 mill. was it?), i dont care how much he costs if he performs well. In the real world, we cant buy every 20 million pound player there is. In our financial situation, Rafa obviously wants variation up front to play with Fernando and someone who fits the bill is available for free so why not?

though i also wuldnt like to see him here but since the reports coming out are getting stronger day by day i think we would have to accept that he would be a liverpool player come summer so instead of going on about the negatives(which i can also mention in hundreds) lets look at the brighter side of things.

a)he is coming on free so except for the wages theres nothing we would lose out on even if he doesnt turn out to be a success here.also i think he can be the best bosman buy of the season
b)he is english so can help rafa with the hme-grown players rule in CL
c)he is an experienced pro which certainly can help in a relatively young & inexperienced squad of ours
d)no matter how much we hate it but he does provide something extra to the squad.when the weaker teams park the bus & try to negate our "pass & move" game we can revert to long balls played to him

also we dont need an expensive striker as much as we need a high-profile right sided winger so lets splurge the cash there & have someone who can be an adequate back-up to torres & keane

Aston Villa have agreed a 4 million pound fee with Wigan for Heskey. I suppose it is as good as done now. Heskey won't be coming back this season.

heskey hasnt improved that much since he left id say his goal ratio was better with us than with wigan, he was a better player when he was with leiceaster than now, he was more explosive, villa are welcome to him it would have being a step backwards
