Would prefer owen but if we do get heskey then i dont think it would be the worst signing in the world, he is good at holding the ball up and if he play with Nando at any point then he would be able to help Nando create more space for himself

Wouldnt be the best idea bringing Heskey back. He lacked serious confidence in his last year with Liverpool and he needed to get away from the pressure of playing at a top club. Dont think he is good enough really. Playing at Wigan week in week out suits him cos he can have a few bad games and nobody really notices but its a different story at a club like ours. I know he back playing for the national team but he is only there to get the best out of Rooney.

i think ditch voronin permanently and pennant and bring in owen and joaquin

heskey doing well at wigan  he should finish his career there with pride
and bentiz should not even consider the thought of bringing someone back that he sold
liverpool need and should  if they need them young players
but brig them in from the academy
start to save money not spend that they dont have

We have plenty of firepower with Torres and Keane up top, and let's not forget that Stevie can contribute in the goal scoring department, too.

Does everyone realise that Heskey scored 4 goals last season and 1 goal this season.  What a waste of a forward position.

I would expect Voronin to get more than that.

Heskey would be a decent signing but at his age would he want to keep the bench warm, I imagine that Rafa thinks with only two forwards if we have injury's to both if only for a game or two it would leave us with a patched up forward line and if we are going to take the title serious we need another forward.

for emergancy time, we can play nemeth, ngog, pacheco & why not gerrard upfront. we does not have space for him.

We dont need heskey , he was never that good for us first time , he said in the paper yesterday that we tried to turn him into a winger well you could not call him a striker , does anyone know how many goals he has scored since he left liverpool , i bet it cant be more than 20 .

If we can get him cheap or on a free than we should go for it.

Doesn't matter what he did in the past, I think hes a better player now.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Heskey back with us. He's showed good form of late, and he can be an amazing asset to any club, as he has shpwn already.

Personally though, I think he's got much more of a chance of linking back up with Martin O'Neil at Villa.

Bringing him back would be a step backwards for us. He needs to play games to keep his confidence up and at Anfield he clearly won't get a run of games, he is a confidence player and without it then he is garbage. We got Dirk Kuyt who can do all the hardwork.

Bringing him back would push players like Ngog, Nemeth and Pacheco down the pecking order and we would only have Heskey for a maximum of two years IMO.

Good player, but his days with us are over.

Emile Heskey playing for England does in no way reassure me - a certain David Beckham consistently attains the same position for whatever reason this is someone who has been  put out to pasture in America.While talking about consistency lets not forget Heskeys lack of it when he played for LFC ,signing him would be a step backward he,s not at Wigan because of his outstanding footballing talent,he has played for bigger clubs and the present situation can only be seen as a downward spiral not the best prospect for the team I would have thought.

Its funny how people forget his 22 goal contribution when we done the treble though. Players feed off Emile, ask Mr Owen.
People also forget when he was stuck out wide by Houllier for a number of games..
I just think that he'd offer a dimention that we dont have at the moment and for peanuts its worth a try..

its all very good talking about peanuts,worth a try and all this carry on but while we're going through this guessing game with Mr.Heskey somebody with all the right qualities could be kicking on to the benefit of the club and he's had his chance when he was younger and supposedly a fresher talent .

hi there, i'm new here. good day. personally i think a move to somewhere like spurs would be better for heskey's england career. he wont get regular football with us and so will damage his england chances. in a team where he is picked regularily his confidence will continue. i dont think he should come back really.

If Torres stay fit, Liverpool is going to be a big contender for the number Spot this season and with the addition of Keane it has put a great power up front, just waiting for Keane's form. Personally I feel bring back Heskey won't be a good move, I don't know how is it tactically? Liverpool is just awesome I pray that this season they become the champion! Hope the defense and midfield improves, I feel in the centre of the park they are not able to create much.
