Williams was cruising at 7-5 but his cue fu**ed him about. Went to sort it out and never looked the same player. Shame really because I thought he'd do well this year. Ah well, no shame in losing to Hendry is there.

Selby through 10-5 and looked a real quality player. Gonna be difficult to stop him I reckon.

When is he scheduled to meet Ronnie - that would a good game if they both get there.

I haven't seen any of the snooker so far - what happened with Ding and Lian Wenbo?  I bet fireworks were flying when they got together.

It's currently 4-3 to Ding mate. Although he was winning 4-1 and Liang is leading in the 8th frame so it could be 4-4.

Except I've just found that it's not on Eurosport until 7 pm UK time.  I haven't got BBC so will have to do an hour of OU before sticking Eurosport on.

Liang just potted a great red, landed on nothing though. Currently leading 36-0 in this 8th frame. All 9 reds left are above the pink spot, six above the middle pockets.

Ding just fluked the green, very very unlucky for Liang.

Cheers mate.  I've just written 300 words of my Assignment and need to take my eyes off it ecvery once in a while.

I really like Ding (don't know why - can't stand Fu or Wattana - maybe it's just his attacking style of play) and would love him to be world champion one day.

Although Wenbo is exciting to watch too, he just needs to improve his tactical side and ease back from the death-or-glory shots a bit more.  Maybe he should get Ray edmonds to help him like Ronnie did or Terry Griffiths a la Hendry.

Liang just missed a relatively easy black off the spot to let Ding back in. Should be 6-3 now.

Going for Mark Allen,think he has a good mentality and has improved as a player.

Ding's break again broke down, current score Ding 59-44 Liang with all colours remaining.

Liang won the frame. 5-4 now as the session ends.

This evening's matches are Joe Perry v Jamie Cope and the end of the Marco Fu - Joe Swail match.

Had a little bit each way on Ebdon @ 40/1.Can't stand him but his crappy slow play really gets up the top players noses and he just won the China open.

This Ding-Liang match is top notch.

Ding currently leads 9-8 after being 7-8 down.

Yeah, Ding really picked up his game to win the match.

He looked dead and buried at 8-7 'cos he couldn't pot more than 2 or 3 balls in a row.  Then he banged in a century and never looked back.

This Jamie Cope continues to impress me. Currently beating Joe Perry, very good player himself, 6-5 on frames.

Steve Davis lost 10-2 to Neil Robertson earlier.

Shame really in my view, would have loved Steve to get a bit further.
