Doherty's jokes going down like a led balloon again.

John Parrot's commentary is like the player's thinking aloud, spot on.

Parrot is a great commentator, his knowledge is spot on - as is Hendry's. The only problem I have with JP is he thinks he's some sort of comic genius. If he knocked the sh*t jokes on the head he'd be much better to listen to. Then the odd joke he did make would have more impact and therefore be funnier.

As for the final, it was basically over as soon as Murphy went five nil up. Then taking the first frame of the evening session to make it 7-2, just completely killed any hopes Robbo had. Robbo should of won that ninth frame as well to make it six-three. There would of been a slight chance for the Aussie then but losing it effectively ended the match.

Weren't the great final I was hoping for.

Onto the world's next as the big major for the snooker.

Went to watch some of the final yesterday evening only to find it was all over.

      Wasn't expecting that!

Rushed blue there from Robertson will cost him the frame.

Looks like those nervy shots cost him the match.

The World's got under way yesterday and already had a belter with Selby/Maflin.

I'm gonna plump for Shaun Murphy to win it this year to with the Masters he won in January.

Haven't seen any so far Bill but will see plenty over the coming week and love the World's.

Magill took that deciding frame with great quality. Century break to win your first match at the Crucible, not bad la.

Onto the next round where he'll play Mark Selby. Don't get much tougher for him.

Hawkins against Selt has been a cracker.

Barry was 7-2 to up at the start of the morning then went into a 9-4 lead but credit to Matty who has pulled it back to nine all, with the last three frames including two back-to-back centuries followed by a 94.

There were concerns that they may not have time to complete the match now with the afternoon session due to start in about 40 minutes. But thankfully it looks like they're going let it go on. Whoever loses is gonna be heartbroken. Hawkins because of the lead he threw away or Selt because he got it back but still lost it ultimately.

Hawkins to break in the final 19th frame.

      Enjoy!!!

      Fantastic match, 10-9.

Probably been the player of the tournament mate. Not been tested much but that's mainly due to how well he's been playing.

Hawkins really struggling here. Just can't get into the game. Somehow won that final frame before the mid-session interval though.

Is clearing up, under hits the pink to get on the black (which was up in the balk area) and then catches the black too thin to leave Murphy the black to lead four-nil. Murphy pots the black, a good shot from distance and then the cue ball goes into the middle pocket to gift the frame to Barry. Really don't know how it ended up going into the middle. Turning point maybe?

3-1 at the mid-session interval to Murphy.

This final is a belter. Best final for a long time.

      Bingham leads 15-14 against Murphy.

Murphy splits the reds then misses the blue off it's spot into the middle.

Nothing is easy at this stage but he should of potted that.

Bingham then misses his first red, didn't look that difficult but as I've just said nothing is easy at this time.

Murphy misses a red down the back cushion, catching the near knuckle.

      Pressure really showing now.

Bingham swerves round the black, hits the red but it doesn't drop. Leaves Murphy his third chance of the frame.

Murphy misses the yellow off it's spot. Bingham punishes him by putting him in a belting snooker behind the black.
