Not the best performance but as said in the Pre Match thread - The 3 points is the most important thing.

Lyon snuck a 1-0 win so it was vital we hung on and we did.

Made hard work of it but we got the points and that's all that matters in the end. Lucas was my MOTM - superb performance defensively.

Not so much joy. Glad to get 3 points but the performace left more than alot to be desired.

Post match joy my arse. Post match relief, perhaps.

Happy with the win, a couple of decent individual performances such as Skrtel, Benayoun and Lucas.

What do people think about Riera?

He was good once or twice, but looks like he was last season, drifting in and out of the game, not doing enough for me.

Not convincing but 1-0 or 10-0 it's still only worth 3 points.

Riera was my MOTM today, followed closely by Lucas.

babel had a short, but good appearence. For the rest, the players were just as bad as the fans. The moaning every time a ball was played backwards really pissed me off.

but at the end, the three points are ours. and that is what counts

Its a win and sometimes you have to grind out results and win ugly, something we did this evening... Fair play to Debreceni they came here to frustrate and just about pulled it off, can see these been a tricky away fixture when we go to their place.

Babel showed what he's capable of in the 15 minutes. That, Lucas & Dirk playing well and the 3 points are a few positives we can take from this game.

An awful performance tonight, our passing was sloppy and we created very little against a very poor side, no-one excelled tonight. Skertel performance was head and shoulders above any other player on the pitch. Thought our set pieces were a joke.

awful performance. will never cease to amaze me how time and time again we fail to deliver a decent cross esp from a dead ball.
terrible to say that we brought on Mascherano and Aurelio to close out the game.

Lucas was MOTM for moi. Missed the first 35 minutes because of work but from what I saw after that he was our best player IMO.

Glad we got the 3 but if we're being honest that was terrible passing on our end.

Thought he started of really bright and was looking to impose himsellf on the game, then he just faded into the back ground before being replaced by Babel.

Can someone whack Babel on to the poll at the top?

Glad to get the three points. That is all that matters, but we could have put it to bed earlier. Not to worry though, as long as we got the win. We know that the team could play better than that, and against better opposition i have no doubt that we will.

By the way were is Skertels name in the man of the match, he was head and shoulders above the anyone mentioned on the list.

Not the greatest performance , But as said above the 3 points a vital at home , MOTM   lucas or skrtel (who's name should be in the list of the MOTM poll) for me
  On the other hand haven't seen Gerrard play like this for a long time , nothing seemed to come right for him , shots,passes  etc
