I'm at the point with this lad should he not be ready for the derby to give us much needed attacking threat of the bench to do away with in January.

      Enough is enough.

Very frustrating that a little calf niggle turns into 6 weeks off that's the same time frame as Coutinho FFS.

I wish these nobodies with zero ties to the club would stop talking sh*te. Kris Boyd has come out and said Sturridge HAS to leave in January for first-team football because he hasn't been playing lately. The dopey pr**k obviously doesn't know that he's currently injured.

My thoughts exactly when I saw it for the first time. I had to re-check the name about 10 times to make sure I'd not missed an ex-Liverpool player or clued in journalist.

      Here's my conspiracy theory.

We've already sold him for top dollar, just waiting for the Transfer window to open but the Club?? who bought him have said don't risk playing him in December or the deal is off.

I never even heard or read about his injury. Did he do it during a game, a training session or where?

I don't want him to be sold, only natural goalscorer we have at the Club but I just can't shake this feeling about what's going on behind closed doors at LFC.

As another conspiracy theorist ... I tend to agree with you .

Not having that one bit really. Thing is though with Divock finding the net at a goal per game, this latest Sturridge injury could be the final nail in his liverpool coffin. He's going to find himself right down the pecking order once he is fit.

Klopp said in his pre-match conference that Sturridge could feature in the Derby, perhaps as a sub.

I can't imagine anyone doubting his talent, I'm one of his biggest fans but being available for less than half the season is not really useful for the team.

I think this is the quandary that Jürgen will have thought long & hard about regarding Danny's fitness,it's frustrating as F**k for us fans  having a player of such class being sidelined & it must be the same for studge & klopp.
I personally can't see him going in January but I can see offers coming in for him at some point be it January or the summer ,the question is does Jürgen stick or twist.

He is a great quality but we knew about his injuries (it is a problem in itself) however my issue with his is the lack of desire. I maybe wrong but he lacks that fight, desire to work hard.

Wasn't on the pitch long, but a decisive piece of play, to shoot off the post, to setup the goal. Well in Danny :)

Wasn't great when he came on but like great players made a difference when needed.

Too good to be a squad player but for me if we want to win this league we need him as one.

Hope he can put his ego aside to help us get closer to that league we all want so badly.

You could see space start to open up when he came on. They were worried about him and rightfully so. Great work impacting the game tonight.

One of the best strikers this club has ever had. It is sad that he has struggled so badly with injuries and even sadder that many fans seem always ready to use this against him as if it was his fault. One of the most under-appreciated players I've seen in red during my time as a fan. I personally love the guy and couldn't be happier with his impact.

Spot on mate. Feel exactly the same way.

Hope he starts firing on all cylinders and leads us to the Title.
