It is too early to think about it but I'm interested to see the youngsters work hard for last weekend and repay us back with a good game.

I didn't care too much when we lost last weekend and I feel the same about this game.

Play all the young lads again give them some more valuable PL experience and a chance to impress the boss.

If we come out with a win it's a bonus.

Give the first team the weekend off to recuperate and prepare for the only game left this season that matters.

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum but so not sure if this is the right thread to post this in. I'm down from Scotland for the game on Sunday and I'm looking for something to do on Saturday and was thinking about heading to melwood in the hope I see some players but I wasn't sure when would be a good time to go down at, wasn't sure if anyone on here would have a rough idea of when would be a good time.

We do owe them a pasting on the back of what was, in my opinion, our worst performance of the season.

Having said that I can see a multitude of changes again so I'm not expecting one, who knows though the good feeling could carry over and inspire a few of the fringe players to really stake a claim.

It's going to take something special from somebody who wasn't in the squad the other night to force their way into the EL final squad. I'd like to think that Ojo can get some game time in the next couple of games and do something to sway Klopp into putting him ahead of Ibe. I don't think Klopp trusts him to that degree yet though.

Wouldn't surprise me or even worry me over much if we only got 3 points from these last three games. The  importance of the Europa League has grown out of all proportion to were it stood, with the quality of games we have played in and the CL bonus on top.

Don't honestly see there being the incentive of playing for their places either. I think 8 or 9 places in the team are sewn up with maybe only Allen, Benteke and Lucas in with any sort of chance of coming in.

Don't get this not bothered about the last 3 games attitude, if players don't look interested they get slaughtered, can still qualify for Europe through the league

As a professional football club we should still aim to finish as high up the table as possible, the players owe it to those who click through the turnstiles on matchdays,

If it were not for the final I think this would be the case, but the supporters will understand if a weakened side is chosen for the last 3 games, the importance of the Europa final far outweighs our final league position on this occasion,

It would be totally different however if say we were still in the hunt for a league title as could be the case next season, by then we should have a squad big enough to cope with both assaults,
and it's that which we have struggled this campaign,
We simply don't have a large enough squad of quality individuals to afford to compete for major honours.

It's obvious some of our regular starters will sit this out, final or no final.  We've another game on Wednesday night so players like Can, Studge, Lallana, Bobby, Clyne will probably be rested but we've a few seniors who could do with some minutes.

Lucas, Allen and Benteke could do with playing, not necessarily a full 90 but I'm sure they'll play some part in the game along with quite a few youngsters getting some more Pl experience.

Indeed, I was at that game and we were absolutely dismal, I'm up at Anfield again tomorrow and hope to see a marked improvement even with fringe players in, surely we have enough in our tank to overcome these.

The best thing we ever got out of Watford was John Barnes.Looking to a few team changes for this match but I still think we will win and put another 3 points in the bag.

I believe 7th place clinches a Europa League spot IF the mancs win the Cup Final. With that in mind its I octant that we finish above Saints and ideally above the Hammers an all. Important to be in Europe every season.

They can't score at the moment. Clean sheet is the priority. Big Ben up top for this to prove his worth (I actually think he did quite well in his 5 mins cameo midweek).

Scored a few goals lately, especially at home. Think with a mixture of youth and experience, another comfortable victory, should be in our compass. Going for a 3  1 win to the Reds.

It'd probably be easier for him to go to the powers that be and say "we need to strengthen the squad" than formulate a master plan combining a squad of players in the hope that the powers that be think "we need to strengthen this squad".

I'm not so sure. FSG aren't really football people and they probably look upon 2 finals and increasing the clubs worth without, in relative terms shelling out a fortune first as success. Plus of course they have the perfect storm that is Leicester City to point to.

I'm sure pride will play a big enough part in this match to see us make a proper fist of it... irrespective of who Jürgen picks. It's not as if he'll pick a team he doesn't think will win; is it?

It's an interesting thought but I don't think so mate. 

We're still missing Mama, Hendo and Origi from our regular squad with Lucas, Skrtel, Can and Benteke only just back from layoffs, Studge still not playing 2 games a week and Allen and Toure who rarely play 2 games a week, so our rotation players aren't as strong as if we had a fully fit squad.  We've also still got Ings and Gomez to even play under Jürgen.

I'm not saying that all those players will be here next season but our long term injuries have been so bad this season that it's been tough managing the game time for those who've needed it and for those who've been available. 

We've gone through long and very busy periods without any senior CBs, then any senior midfielders and also any strikers.  We're also about to play over 60 games this season and hopefully the same again next, so naturally we'll have to strengthen over the summer but I don't think there's necessarily a message being sent.

I don't like Skrtel much either but we need to rest our best for Chelsea and Sevilla so we get our best for the EL final. Skrtel will probably be gone in the summer and if we want to make a return on him we should play him, otherwise who will buy him? Caulker is under used and better than Skrtel but he is on loan so not our player.
