      Limewire
      Nov 01, 2008 01:19:15 am
I need the kind people help. I dont know if any of you use Limewire to download music etc but if any of use do, I need your help. Ive been using it for a good while now and has never been a problem. But for the last few weeks, anytime i search something, it says that limewire has not fully connected and therefore the results could be limited. It then returns no results whatsoever. I have then tried to load it and leave it sitting for while to allow it to fully connect but it still dosent work. I then deleted it from the computer and re-installed it. But it continues to not work. Can anyone help??

I used to get that all the time. Uninstalling and re-installing usually helped but ultimately I'm happier now I've switched over to Bitlord! :D

You didn't hear it from me though! :f_whistle:

i think it has something to do with a firewall.

cant give you anything more technical though.

seems like youve put an exception either in your firewall or your zonealarm software...check exceptions and untick it.

I've not had any problems with limewire....yet!, I've been told if you down load any tracks, click on stop sharing files.

For singles i still use Bearshare and for albums i use torrents, torrent harvester is a good search app. for files if you havent used it.
I agree with the answers you have had regarding the limewire problems you need to do a bit of port forwarding in your firewall settings for it to work.

This site has helped me out a few times.

Thats a top site, just started using it yesterday and it's brilliant. Seems if you only download from 'trusted' or 'VIP' users you won't get any viruses either so it's safe as well as useful. Thanks for the link!

Yeh Semple, are you sure its connected, like open Limewire, let it load for a second, then go to 'File' and then click on 'Connect' and let it load for a few seconds. I downloaded the new Limewire recently and found that I have to connect it everytime I use it now.

I don't use Limewire, you never heard it from me :f_whistle:

Obviously Limewire is Susceptible to viruses and the like, but my computer has been relatively good except for a few months back when it clogged up, which wasn't entirely mine or Limewire's fault.

      I Use a Ruissain Site. www.gomusic.ru
It's not free, but damn cheap. Slow, Basic, and you need to tinker with the names and stuff, but OK, no virus, pop-ups and the like.
