Look at their away fixtures. With a nice derby victory, I feel we'll have 88 points after 30 games (F***ing hell !!!) and City will have 64 after 29. They'll probably be held to a draw at Spurs or United.

... which means to stop us from visiting Emptihad as the Champions, they have GOT TO win their game at Stamford Bridge cos they play the early kick off and we play the late kick off vs Palace at Anfield. Imagine the scenes if City draw or lose at the Bridge, and the build up to our game!!!

Alternatively, win our next 7 and get draw with City will do. If both us and city win our next seven, we would have 91 points with city on track for a max of 93 points at 72 points.

That brings us to Emptyhad for the eighth match. If we both draw, we would have 92 points and City would have 73. By then their max possible points would be 91. We'd win the league there. With a draw.

Well, if they drop points along the next seven matches, our 24 points to the title gap narrows down, and we'll have less points to accumulate to secure the title. They might have to do a guard of honour for us if so. Boss!

So can someone do the math and tell me what we need should City drop points against Spurs and City and where we "could" sow it up?

If we win all our games and city do the same from now, I think... we’d win the league on 21st March, which is my birthday... and I don’t know if I can trust myself not to drown myself in alcohol if that happens...

See my "next 7 matches" post and the analysis directly above. March if City drops points in the next seven matches and we win out. If they win out their next seven, we'll meet them on the eight match (round 32) needing a draw to win it. By then it would be April.

Theres a couple of draws at least for city there I reckon.

It really depends how big a lap you draw. We are close to lapping Norwich if this were a two lap race (home and away fixtures) in terms of points accumulated to a perfect 114 points.

24 games played, equal to five matches into the second lap, the leaders have 70 of 72 points. We are on lap two, between matches 4&5 (69 & 72 perfect points benchmark for winning out 23 & 24 matches) on the board. 

At 17 points, Norwich has moved the equivalent of almost only six matches in lap one. We would lap them if they stall at 17 points (still equivalent to close to six matches of lap one on the board) for the next two matches, and we win both games. We would have moved to 76 points if we win the next two, moving us past the six matches in lap two. We lap them there.

Make the lap smaller but circle more rounds, and we would have lapped the back markers already.

More and more it looks like the match at City could be the first chance to clinch the title. That would be quite a scene.

This run is astonishing, every chance we qualify for next years Champions League before the knockout stages of this years.

Just worked it out, 2 more wins and top 4 guaranteed and that is assuming Manu win 2 games in a row in the league.

A perfect scenario for me would be going into the match with Shitty needing 3 points to clinch it, can you imagine the scenes after 90+ when we have done a Barca on them, batter them 0-4 , or it’s 0-0 in the dying seconds when Bobby smashes one in from about 25 yrds, can’t imagine tho that that Pant Sniffer Tyler will scream Firninoooooo, I swear you’ll never see anything like that again, tho, will he ?
