Torres: United are title favourites

"They're the clear favourites to win the title," said Torres. "We're working hard to compete with them and finish above them and we're on course to achieve that.

"We know it's possible for us to win this season but we have to fight to the very end to do so.

"It's obvious that we know all about them. They are the champions of Europe and the world.

"We know the class they have in their team. They have some of the best players in the world."

Torres, who finished third to United star Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the FIFA World Player of the Year award on Monday, admits the showdown between the two clubs at Old Trafford on March 14 could prove decisive.

"I think the game at Old Trafford will decide the title," noted Torres. "If everything goes as we expect then we will go there in a similar position to now.

"We will have to play our game to try and get a result in a ground, which in the last few years has not been good for Liverpool."

Nando has certainly got the right idea by passing the pressure back to Castle Greyskull, I much prefer to be sat in the background anonymous as the Mancs tell everyone how great they are.

I just had a look at manure's fixtures after their victory against Wigan tonight. I must say I'm getting worried now.

The potential bad ones for them: Bolton Wanderers(A) Draw - Newcastle United   (A) Lose -Liverpool (H) Lose - Fulham (A) Win -Aston Villa   (H) Win -Arsenal   (H) Draw-Manchester City (H) Win.

We need to win our next 3 games and get our momentum going. We didn't have such a season for a long long time. I hope we go all the way. We have all been waiting too long for this.

Torres was taking the pressure of us. It was a smart comment and i think he might be trying a rafa . And as was said above F**k Utd and concentrate on ourselves.

I think Liverpool have got to do one very important thing: keep our players fit!

There is no question we have the players to go all the way but we cannot afford to lose Alonso, Torres, Skrtel, and heaven forbid Stevie G again this season if we are to make a consistent challenge. We cannot afford another Stoke performance, that was painful to watch.

Get Keane scoring instead of putting his hands on his head for yet another barn door miss, get Torres doing what only Torres can do and Stevie G continue doing what he does so well and keep Alonso marshalling the midfield and distributing the ball well and we are a mighty tough proposition for ANYONE.

Let the mancs worry about themselves, let's just focus on who we are.... THE MIGHTY REDS!

Even though he's clearly playing mind games or whatever, United are clearly the title favourites. They've won it 2 years in a row and they still have basically the same team. Doesn't mean their going to win it.
