Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty: World at War
      Jan 20, 2009 09:24:35 pm
I got Call of Duty 5 a few weeks ago and I love it.

Heard lots of people say CoD 4 is better? What do you guys think?

Its 25 quid on play with four free maps, worth it?

Or should stick with CoD:WaW and wait from Call of Duty 6 (which is Modern Warfare 2) which is released late this year?

      Your thoughts are welcome.

Personally, I prefer COD 4. But it really depends if you prefer the WW2 stuff or the newer stuff tbh.
      Both good games though.
First ive heard about a COD 6.

I think the single player missions were alot more exiting (especially the sniper/ghilly suit one) in 4.  The multiplayer has got alot of nice new features (except the tanks, awful idea).

I've played so many WW2 games now, you can only win WW2 so many times before you get bored...

I liked CoD 4 better, mostly because of the weapons. I thought theres not enough snipers.
I thought they should have stuck to Modern Warfare rather than WW2.
      But its still good.

I bought COD 4 from play as COD 5 my lad steamed through it in one player mode. One neg on 4 is there is no 2 player Coop like on 5, but I will say the on line game play is boss. have not tried COD 5 on line yet I would imagine its as good.

my advice get 4 as well its a bargin for 25 notes

COD 5 is great online, and some of the problems in 4 with bad connections during matches have been sorted out so that you don't lose the points gained during the match you are playing in.

I would say both games are equally as good and if you can manage to get 4 for a low price then I would advise to buy that too.

      COD 4 ordered ;)

      Thanks for all your help.

I guess I'll be introducing the rotation policy between both games now! ;)

Finally got round to renting COD5.  Like the way the game and storyline fit together neatly - that Russian guy who you meet in the pit I thought was class.  I'm not too sure if the single player is as good as COD4 but I haven't played online yet because I know that the online servers will be full of COD freaks who will hand me a pasting.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is released this November I think. I've had COD 5 since Christmas now and I think the online play is great. I do like WWII settings though.

My Lad has both 4 & 5, both are great online but I have to lean towards 4 for overall playability plus it does not have those pesky dogs.

Agreed.  Them dogs are a F***ing pain in the arse.

Went online last night with it.  Did my sniping thing.  I'm not too shabby at it actually - even though one of the 'dudes' with a mic spent the entire game talking about Cocaine.

Pain in the arse levelling up on this.

sh*t game modes and sh*t guns till you get to level 14.  Had a game with moonie's clan before but with my collection of bollocks guns was a nightmare.

I do find myself keep going back to 4 purely because of the weapon selection. although since my lad bought 3 new games, I dont get a look in anymore.  :f_wah:

At level 14 now thank god.  Working on the guns, got that camouflage thing and silencers and it is much more easy now.  Also opened up all the Capture the Flag and stuff so it's happy days now.

Keeping my eye out now for decent price to purchase it so I can send this rental back.

Not on Xbox sorry. I've had a couple of clan games with moonie on here.  He's pretty decent on it.
