I never watched Ian Rush play week in, week out.
      Because simply I wasn't here.
But during my time, John Barnes (I remember vaigly since a kid)
or Michael Owen (Was my childhood hero growing up)
But now, as I'm older... and I have a much better understanding of our club.
I'd have to say Steven Gerrard.

You might be supprised to hear that my first Hero was Emlyn "Crazy Horse" Hughes. Two time European cup winning captain and one of the greatest players to ever pull on the red jersey (RIP Emlyn). The greatest of them all has to be Kenny. My other favorites

      Steve Nicol
      John Barnes
      Joey Jones
      Terry McDerrmott
      Ray Clemance
      Alan Hansen
      Jim Beglin
      Rushie
      Digger Barnes
And the very under rated Nigel Spackman!!! :o

My favourite has to be King Kenny - you must be a wee bit older than me Mr Horse.

John Barnes was quality too.  Although I must admit I thought Jan Molby was also one of the coolest players ever to wear the red shirt.

Even though he enjoyed   :food-smiley-005: and got in trouble with the  :police:

      Mmmmm....difficult one this......

      1. King Kenny - my first full season watching the reds was 1985/86 and I didn't miss a single home game (you could pay on the kop then!). Kenny had just taken over as player manager and what a first season to add onto his already established reputation as one of our greatest players.

      2. Jan Molby - my all time favourite player. He was superb and the best passer of a ball I have ever seen. My cult hero, was then and still is now!!

      3. Stevie G - still so much more to come from him, but what a career so far! When he lifts that Premiership trophy he'll have the clean sweep and will reach greatness in my eyes. And don't forget he turned down Chelski......just a thought for those who put Owen up there!

Greatest All Time Players....such a toughie to pick just three, but...

      1. King Kenny - after Keegan's departure the reds were worried but Dalglish's arrival basically ensured we had another 13 years of unrivalled success in England and Europe.  Not the quickest, or the most athletic, but one of the most unique footballers ever - a real match-winner and Liverpool legend.

      2. Ian Rush - I remain convinced that he would have been great in any side - although playing for Liverpool and getting the massive number of chances he did obviously helped.

      3. John Barnes OR Peter Beardsley - even though the latter joined the bitters these two were some of the most exciting players we ever had at Anfield. They both joined the year I got my first season ticket so call me biased but regular thrashings were handed out that season they joined because of the creativity of these two.

There is a topic already but... its a poor effort of a topic IMO so i think mine is the better option to use ;) (got that out the way ::))

As the title suggests, i would like no everyones favourite players of all time.

Mine has to be Michael Owen purly for the fact that he is the reason i began to suport liverpool as the first footy match i ever saw was england vs argentina and when owen scored "that goal" i was hooked for life. When england lost, i cryed (the one and only time i'll ever do that :lmao:) because i though id never see him again  but i was informed that there is a thing called "club football" and a certain Michael Owen played for a team named "Liverpool", from then on i followed Liverpool and was crushed when MO finally left for Madrid, and would welcome him back with open arms at any given stage

fave player is Robbie Fowler for many reasons.

      1) he's from Toxteth - like me ;D
      2) I was good mates with his nephew Tony and his sister in law Donna cut off me curley blonde hair when I was about 2. Something I can't believe I ever had.
      3) he was me first hero for Liverpool.
      4) he still is "God"
      5) the sniffing the line against Everton.
      6) he never wanted to leave the club, he was pushed.

I'll never forget his return. One of the greatest nights of me life was seeing him come back as a Liverpool player and then when he finally got to wear the number 9 shirt again was another great night. Robbie Fowler, all time fave of mine.

Mine has to be King Kenny Dalglish.

What a player, he had everything, when Kevin Keegan left in 1977, everyone said he could never be replaced, but we actually got someone better than Keegan.

Dalglish's record speaks for itself and how well did he do as Manager as well.

He is still thought of so highly at Anfield, He will always be a legend in my eyes.

Kenny Dalglish the greatest player to ever pull on the famous red jersey of Liverpool Football Club.

I share the exact same opinion, he was the exact reason i loved liverpool at such a young age. He was amazing and i still love watching him play, would most certainly welcome him back whether hes 32 or 55. He's a true liverpool legend in my eyes. That goal against argentina has to be my favourite goal off ALL TIME.

      King Kenny!

Gerrard is probably 2nd with Carra 3rd. Im sure Nando will soon become favourite though to alot of people including myself :D

Owen was a favourite of mine but it felt like he turned his back on the club when he left and he was never putting an end to speculaion, he wanted bigger an better than us so went to Madrid (although they dont come bigger than liverpool)
