Wankers. So far up the Manc's arse it drives me mad. So anti-Rafa and so pro-Fergie its ridiculous considering that the chewing tosser doesnt even want anything to do with the Beeb.

      Don't forget Sky crouchy.

They had one of their reporters hanging around Old Toilet before kick-off getting fans views, then interviews a Porto fan, the reporter was almost incedulous with the Porto fan's reply. Made me smile though!

Sky Reporter: "Is United the hardest draw you could have had or is it Barcelona?"
Porto fan: "No, its Liverpool they would have been hardest"

The lad saw it as it is. We beat Man U 4 - 1 at their shithole and in doing so, did the double. It's not rocket science but unfortunately, it doesn't fit in with Skys Utd wankfest! They really like the Mancs to be the best and hate how respected and feared we are across Europe.

Getting back to the title of the topic, if I dare to be so outrageous <sarcasm alert>, I totally agree that the BBC need to get a grip.

Fergie won't give them the time of the day but they seem to employ individuals determined to get on their knees and suck hard on Ferguson and all of his players balls at every opportunity.

I'd love Rafa to F**k the lot of them off and send Sammy Lee on personally, see what they think about that.

Considering the amount of sh*te that Gary Lineker and his cronies on the BBC online have come out with, they have shown a distinct lack of respect to Rafa this season, and if they were any kind of men/women they would rightly correct this wrong.

Its all about money and sycophantic mercenaries, there are one or two or maybe just one  in the shape of Allan Hansen who is worth listening to but when you put

them up against the manc mafia on ITV there's no competition they resort to downright lies and distortion, but none of them are worth a carrot we know whats what and
who is the most successful club in the country.

At the end of the day, just don't listen to them. Take Smiggers advice and 'F**k 'em'.

Personally I think ITV and Sky are the worst but the BBC do take the piss at times as well.

You have to remember that most major media is 'supposed' to be unbiased. Plus it's easy to lap up praise when it comes our way.

The way I see it is that we've got a F***ing boss manager who can give out a lot more than he can take in. And the biased element of the media can't handle that. They're not willing to accept we're a force again.

We're no strangers to cheap shots and bad disrespect lately. The last couple of years has been tough. Comes with the territory unfortunately.

But we keep going and keep getting stronger because of the vast majority of our fans and Rafa. The so called expert ex footballers may get a tiny bit of attention from time to time - usually the ones that talk sense get a little bit more. But the ones in the media who've hardly or never kicked a ball before can go get fu**ed.

I only take notice to what reds say and what our boss Rafa says. And when Rafa says something, the media usually wants to tell you he said something completely different to what you've heard with your own ears. So F**k 'em!

The media doesn't really bother me with their comments about Liverpool for two reasons

      1) Similar to what Souness said as a player, he got more joy out of opposing fans slagging him off because it meant they'd noticed him. Same here, if they're talking about Liverpool it means we're doing something right to be noticed, even if they say we're not doing right. How many times do you hear the media talking about Hull now they're slumping? You don't. But they talk about us because we're doing something right, so I actually take it as a compliment to be spoken about.

      2) It's out of sheer jealousy. The "experts" know they'll never be able to match the records of this great club and even those who did play for us like Beglin and Lawrenson are just gobshites anyway. Lawrenson, born and bred in Preston probably means he grew up a United fan so wouldn't be too surprised to see him w*nk over United and Beglin being a paddy again probably grew up a United fan, because most Irish folk grow up supporting either us or United.

This B.B.C. crap is nothing new ,we have taken sh*t off them for years. When England won the world cup in 1966 there was a sustained  effort to get Alf Ramsey to select Jimmy Greavese instead of our one and only Sir Roger Hunt. Thankfully Alf did not listen to the B.B.C. and the southern media.Roger did us proud and certainly earned his winners medal.

What I dislike about the whole BBC ManUtd relationship is the blatant love for that team. Macheda scores a single goal, and he gets 3 or 4 articles written about him. Total sh*te.

Its because we dont take sh*t from anybody and certainly dont care what the likes of SKY or Setanta or BBC say or think we are independant of mind and spirit and I dont give a toss what some gobs***e thinks in the media. I love the Porto fans response priceless you can imagine the produce blowing a gasket.

Sky are shocking too but their connection with the Mancs, you expect alot of bias which is why i dont read that paper or visit their site.  The Beeb sh*t me because they're 'neutral' but praise the Scum wankers when they get no love in return.

1913: So Liverpool make one change, bringing in Brazilian midfielder Lucas (who has his critics) for the suspended Javier Mascherano. Chelsea make two changes, with Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba returning to the side in place of Jon Mikel Obi and Nicolas Anelka.

And after i went on the 606 boards to find plenty of support for Lucas, they choose to publish this one on the live text page...

1924: "Just read the team sheet and nearly threw up. Lucas starting? Spoilt my fish and chips."
Harry Laconic Junior, Bangor, via text on 81111

      AND now this...!

1926: What with all your negative messages, I'm beginning to think the winner from tonight will be whoever plays less rubbish out of Lucas and Florent Malouda. You really don't like those boys much, do you?

Just want to say, I think the BBC have been brilliant today.

They haven't shied away from really (and I mean really) making note of Hillsborough post 20 years.

Football Focus was hard to watch but they made sure they remembered. And made sure people around the country remembered.

Match Of The Day again was the same. They made a point of discussing it. They didn't shy away and I take my hat off to them for that.

^^^ Here Here Kenny, completely agree.

Every news item I've watched today, it has been in the headlines, as you say, Football Focus was very difficult to watch, heartbreaking in fact, and it's amazing how people are physically still so disturbed by it all, after all this time, like Mark Lawrenson said, its till very raw amongst Liverpool fans, like it only happened yesterday.

It's good that it's getting the publicity, but it's such a shame that we are still having to fight for justice after 20 years.

Hats off to the BBC for keeping it in the public eye.

      Long may it continue.

It's very important that the next generations of Liverpool fans learn about it and the aftermath of the whole tragedy so well done to the BBC.

I completely agree about the BBC's coverage today.  Football Focus and MOTD both where emotional to watch and even the BBC news at 10 had the Hillsborough tragedy in the public eye.  I've never had a problem with the BBC even though they may think the sun shines out of Fergie's arse but they are not near half as bad as Sky, ITV or Setanta.

Football Focus was especially poignant today and for them to pay such a memorable tribute to the Hillsborough tragedy was a testiment to them.  Brought tears to my eyes :'(

For a while now i've kept up to date with current premier league scored by watching the live text on the BBC Sport site and i can no longer stand how biased the writers are towards Man U and against us.

Usually it's some dick called Jonathon Stevenson writing the text but he must have been at old trafford watching the game today so Paul Fletcher done it instead.

Here's some of the text from the Man U match today:

      1846: PENALTY
      For Man Utd.

1847: GOAL Man Utd 1-2 Tottenham
Cristiano Ronaldo smashes the ball powerfully into the middle of the net. The spot kick is given after Michael Carrick goes down under a challenge from Gomes. Replays seem to suggest Gomes got the ball.
1849: I think it would be fair to say that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is not in the least bit happy with the decision.
1850: I have just seen another replay of the penalty decision. Can I change my mind? I'm not sure Gomes got any of the ball.

And then his response to a text from a liverpool fan:

From Tim, angry Liverpool fan, via text on 81111: "I'm furious with Spurs Paul. They got a lead and instead of continuing to press and making United uncomfortable, they get scared and just defend and sit deep, which is what United love."

      He replies:

I largely agree with your analysis. Though I am not that furious

1926: Spectacular, truly spectacular - what a comeback from United as they scored five second-half goals to defeat Tottenham.
Lots of people are going to point to Howard Webb's decision to award United a penalty.

I wonder why that might be you tool

Seems to me that one of two things happened here.

      Either:

      1. He saw the penalty decision and got it right by saying that it looked like Gomes got a bit of the ball but then changed his mind as HE realised that he didn't want a man u comeback to be remembered because of the wrong penalty decision.

      OR

2.He saw the penalty decision was incorrect and stated so in his initial comment and then the BBC decided that he should change his mind to back up Man U and Howard Webb a bit and try to convince more people to talk about Man U's comeback rather than the wrong penalty decision.

This game, the same as many others this season, should be remembered as a game where Man U were looking down and out and got decisions from a crooked referee that built up their confidence  and destroyed the other team's confidence enough to get them back into the game and take 3 points. But seeing as the BBC are all anti-Liverpool and/or pro-Man U they want these games to be remembered as the glorious comebacks and fighting performances from them that won them the league.

Just to add extra confirmation to my suspicions about the bent BBC, there's no mention of the turning point in the match report whatsoever. All it says is :

Two minutes later the Manchester arena erupted as Carrick, bursting into the box after a Ronaldo pass, nipped the ball around Gomes and was adjudged to have been brought down.
The Spurs were players incensed, but Howard Webb's decision was not going to change and the Portuguese calmly dispatched from the spot.

Why on earth wouldn't they think of mentioning the shocking decision from Webb that clearly changed the game.

I could make a thread like this about the BBC every week but from now on I've got somewhere to post my consistent frustration at the BBC.

      :f_steam:

Does anyone else feel the same?

Get that Caroline Cheese woman back I say.

I could have sworn there was a thread about the BBC knocking around somewhere.  They completely fu**ed a Liverpool article up a few weeks back.

One thing you expect from any national media organisation is impartiality.  Fans websites are understandably biased towards their own club, but from the likes of Sky and the BBC they are there to report the news and the results.

A lot of these media organisations seem to have forgotten their job and are trying to be all things to all people.  Just ends up destroying any respect they once had.

Anyway... sounds like this fella got a bit of a twinge during today's game.

      Your forgetting:

1850: I have just seen another replay of the penalty decision. Can I change my mind? I'm not sure Gomes got any of the ball.

1852: Just to add, Gomes was booked and not sent-off after conceding a penalty. By the letter of the law he probably should have been.

1918: The clock is ticking down and United will end today back on top of the Premier League having executed a stunning comeback after the break. They really have shown their class and determination.

From Chris, Grassington, via text on 81111: "I'd just arranged the party to celebrate Liverpool being back in the title race then that happens! Anyone need some party food?"

1247: Actually, I say DRAMA, but the non-handshake was done with the minimum of fuss. I'm just glad it's all over... and the game is now under way. Phew.

1245: BRIDGE AND TERRY DID NOT SHAKE HANDS
Terry had his hand out, but Bridge looked in his eyes and walked straight past. DRAMA!

1241: Stand by your beds, the players are in the tunnel... John Terry has a new haircut - shaved at the sides, longer on top. Almost a mohawk, you might say. Seriously, I promise it will be all football after 1245... or maybe 1247.

WTF? Shut up and report on the game.

Not one reference to Hillsborough and the memorial.

      Nor from Sky either.

F**k off you cu*ts. If who wins a stupid individual award or tickets for a World Cup are more important than respect and decency towards 96 people who never returned home from a football game, then go right ahead, but F**k you's you disrespectful wankers.

Yep was looking on there myself today after finishing work in the hope of catching a bit of coverage from the memorial service. Not even a F***ing article. Bunch of disrespecting tossposts. And they call themselves our main source of coverage in this country.

But then you must remember they made a huge deal of the 20th anniversary last year, which was nice. I remember sitting in the car listening to radio 2 and they played You'll Never Walk Alone sang by a Liverpool home crowd along with a nice feature about it.

Apparently looking fit to the BBC reporters.

They'll be rubbing themselves silly now.

It's that Cheese lady on the text isn't it? She is in love with that lot, everytime I read it, she will start going on about how magnificent they are, and if possible throw in a comment to bash Rafa.

      Silly bi*ch.
