It is fantastic to get Liverpool to Oslo, also this year. Last time against VĂ¥lerenga was a huge party and I  hope that it will be the same in August against Lyn( A upper class team from Oslo). According to one of the leaders in the Scandinavian supporter club to Liverpool, there will be  representatives from SOS and tell about their work. Previously we have had Peter Hooton with several other members who have informed us of the issues they are working with. I look forward enormously.

It is absolutely correct. The director was prosecuted and punished by the Norwegian courts for having counterfeit entry to Mikel as he was on a pro-contract and not amateur contract. Had he been on the amateur contract, Chelsea could get him free.

Anybody remember Burnt Arse (Bernt Haas) for WBA? Well if you do, you may see him when he play St Gallen as that's his current club.

No doubt we'll get a game against Crewe or Wrexham again. We usually do. Might even have one planned with Leicester involving the sale of Hobbs.

The last time Liverpool played Singapore back in 2001, it was 2-0. But based on current form, we can shoot past 4 goals at the Old Toilet, then what about national teams that are ranked 130th-ish in the world?

I have no doubt Liverpool can beat both Thailand and especially Singapore Nation Teams. However there are other factors to consider, the climate, Hot and humid, 180degree difference from England. Another issue is that recently I think couple of years back, a friendly between Brazil and Thailand it was a draw or a single goal win, cant remember the score. But it made some sort of headline Thai doing well against Brazil, despite Brazil very likely not using their best team.

      They always say that.

Maybe they're covering the bases in case we finish third?

There will be some pre-season games in England involving Liverpool this coming season. They just haven't been announced yet as the British seasons are now coming to their climax what with playoffs, promotions, relegations and everything else.

Fans of clubs involved in such things wouldn't really want their boards sorting out next season while their future this season is still uncertain. A lot of clubs, if not all, don't like playing friendlies against sides in the same division. So if, for example, Preston want to arrange a friendly with Leeds, then they'll have to wait and see how each side fairs in their playoffs. Likewise if, for example, Newcastle wish to arrange a friendly with QPR then the Magpies will have to wait and see if they avoid the drop to the Championship this year.

So I wouldn't get too worried just yet about there being no confirmed fixtures against English clubs.

Dont know if there will be friendlies with english clubs though, because after back from the pre season tour from asia, they've got to settle down, get their heads around from a 8 hour difference of a time clock, and then fly off to have a friendly with Espanyol. But probably I'm a newbie with all this so I'm not in a position to comment.

      Hi there
I am from St.Gallen in Switzerland, where Liverpool will be playing its first preseason match. Since I can't generally contribute a lot from far away, I thought, that I could introduce our club a bit to you, since you might not now it at all.

FC St.Gallen was founded 1879 and is the oldest, still existing football club on continental Europe. Some of the most successful period of the club was around 2000, when the team become Swiss Champion - the 2ND time after a long wait of 96 years !! That says already a lot about the club, which has a long list of lost important games :)
The last time, when they were relegated at the end of last season, just when the new stadium was ready.
That said, the club has also one of the best and most faithful fans in Switzerland, with about 12000 on average this season in the second division (4rd best all over Switzerland, only 3 clubs have more in first division). This season we are leading the tables and with 3 matches to go, we hopes to get back to the top-league.
So Liverpool will be playing in the new AFG Arena in St.Gallen which has room for nearly 20'000 spectators. St.Gallen is in the east part of Switzerland between Zurich and the lake of Constance, has about 66'000 inhabitants.
BTW: also in autumn 2000 St.Gallen won in UefaCup against Chelsea (0:1 away; 2:0 home), which was there biggest international success.

Ok, Hope this gives you an idea.
Also hope, I can see the game and will not be on holiday -especially since I could not get tickets for anfield road so far.

96 years wait!  That puts our 19 in to perspective.

With it being one of the early games I'm not sure how strong the Liverpool line-up will be that day, but we look forward to it.  (And yes, I remember you beating Chelsea!)
