The beauty of this is that Kuyt, Benayoun and Gerrard are comfortable right across the pitch and it means we are quite flexible. Fairly similar to the set up for the Newcastle game in that respect.

I'm very happy with that line-up, out of the available players we have, these seem to be the ones who deserve to start.

Riera has flattered to deceive for far too long this season, his occassional good touches and flash moves haven't made up for his too-often lack of impact, or altogether disappearing for large portions of a match.

I think that despite the obvious respect for a decent Hammers side, we should do them over relatively comfortably.

Great team, capable of grabbing a couple of goals.

But i will bloody miss the match, off to a friend's house soon.

Good line-up IMO.  The only thing of slight concern is me is the fact that we have 5 players on the subs bench who play a defensive role - only Babel and N'gog play in advanced attacking positions.  However, we should have too much quality for them on the pitch so we hopefully won't need an impact sub anyway.

Pretty much as I expected, with the beautiful Kuyt and Benayoun bombing down the flanks, with Stevie off Nando.  Only the 12th match they've been together this season, would you believe.  Skrtel has to improve his recent form - Danny Agger is only missing this match due to family commitments.  It is surprising that there is no inclusion of young Alberto Riera, although based on recent form, the Spanish lass doesn't really deserve a play in the side.  

Prediction:

A tough, but clinical, 2-0 win.  Gerro and Torres finding the net.
