I read an article that compiled good and bad reactions via twitter to the video. Funnily enough, it was basically that lack of understanding a lot of the time. Topped off with a #MAGA as well quite often, which just says it all right there.
Seen some complain that the dancing seems off theme to the rest of what's going on as well. You can lead a horse to water but....
Think the dancing is meant to represent a Jim Crow type of caricature. To me one theme is that of famous or mainstream black entertainers that are happy to be viewed as such and make money from it but not willing to address the issues that are counter to their āartā. For example rappers glorifying violence but then turning around to act like they are surprised there is so much of it in their community.
I think the video and song provide a good opportunity to discuss all kinds of topical and interpretations. I probably havenāt watched a rap video since The Chronic came out and Iāve already watched this one a few times. I think itās outstanding.
