Being thrust into a crucial Champions League game, first proper start in the Liverpool kit (if memory serves me right), he did really well.
Although inexperienced, he looked confident and know what he was doing all the time. Defensively sound and able going forward as well. Considering the atmosphere, it is a big step up from reserves football and lived up to the hype.
Although the result was not what he wanted, he would be really pleased for himself. I'm glad for him he started off his career here with a bang.
Degen is full of sh*t, so why don't we get him sold and just promote his guy as cover for Johnson and in the CB position as well.
