Once again in disagreement debs. even If sponsors did drop out there's plenty that would be happy enough to plough their doe in due to the very big fan base they have. Same applies to most clubs
Keith mate, take it from us, no there's not. In 2009 we missed out on the League with a record points tally for second, to what in my opinion was the best United team Ferguson had. We once again got to the latter stages of the Champions League and excruciatingly got knocked out by Chelsea in one of the most emotive games of football I've seen. We scored 14 goals in three games, 4-1 at Old Trafford, 4-0 against Real Madrid and a 5-0 hammering of Aston Villa (They were decent then!). We had Alonso, Gerrard and Torres... we should have been beating back sponsors with a stick!
In 2010 we just about avoided going into administration. Those debts can and will cripple ANY club! Leeds were plenty big enough too but their debt caught up with them! The banks have more control over your club than anyone right now, the second they say pay up it's game over. I only ever followed from a distance but I was a fan of the "Green and Gold" campaign, and I don't think you should be backing off these owners. One or two poor seasons is all it takes until you've been Hodged and RBS come calling!
