Lots of teams think they should beat Seville, and don't. We played them 4 times since 2016 and the most we managed was 2 draws. We've found them a tougher nut to crack than Barcelona.
Once the Seville defence resisted the early 100mph siege, they dealt with whatever ammo was thrown at them comfortably enough imo. They've won the competition multiple times, the mancs haven't.
Armed with their third place finish, I assume the faithfully deluded now think that they're capable of winning 95 points next season to challenge for the league. Because that's the starting point just to challenge for it these days. But after their worst start to a season in nigh on 40 years, three seasons of no silverware at any level has been confirmed. Just like the good old days.
The fourth season starts again in a few weeks.
