      Gran Turismo 5
      Jun 10, 2009 07:35:17 pm
Finally a bit of confirmation about a new Gran Turismo game! ;D

Prologue, I felt, was a bit of a let down, although it was only the latest equivalent to GT Concept, which was basically a demo. The gameplay was good enough but the actual game didn't have that depth that you need from a Gran Turismo game.

This looks like the full business however.

Confirmed rights to NASCAR and WRC and a load of cars, new and old.

Gran Turismo 5 - Official E3 Trailer (HD)

      Really can't wait for this.

      Hell no. ;D

I'm assuming they'll have RUF's for Porsches still. Bit arsey but I suppose it's their choice. ;)

This game can't arrive too quickly now.

I know, RUF's are better than Porshes anyway ^_^

Depends really. The GT3's are quality but some of the souped up RUF's are the business as well.

      I say have both. ;)

I'd pay double for it if they did have them. What a game it would be.

Didn't like the Prologue. Hardly played it to be honest.

I will definitely be renting this before purchasing.  For some reason, I keep buying driving games but they never really have any sticking power with me.

Now if I had the racing seat and frame, the steering wheel, pedals and gear stick then it may be a different matter.

I heard the wackest thing, apparently certain cars can't get damaged, some kind of brand image thing. That would be sad if it's true.

March 2010 now according to Argos site, Game.co.uk originally had a December release too. but now they have no date of release. So we'll just have to wait, again.

I think some cars being able to be damaged is a radical change from the old Gran Turismo's. :D

Be disappointing if it's only certain 'luxury' cars though. What do they think they're going to gain from demanding such things.

Yeah, it would only be certain cars. Heh, it's a crazy world. Read something yesterday on Football Manager 2010, somebody asked why the logo of the dutch football association looked weird or something on a certain page, apparently they have a deal with the makers of FM2010 that the logo can only be shown on the right side of the game so that it faces whatever is on the left side. Pfff... idiots..  :-\

Two seperate Time Trials in Nissan 370Z's. Very impressive.

We should get a leaderboard going on here. ;) See who the forum Stig is. ;)

I quite like prologue to be honest, but the more indepth experience of true Gran Tourismo is what its all about and will be a must for me.

      Exactly the same here.

I will happily lose days on this game. Arsing about with cars and beating my own lap times. It's addictive isn't it?

It will cause many an argument in my household, when the missus is wanting to watch corra and I'm half way through an endurance race :)

The E3 Gran Turismo trailer features the Top Gear test track as well as the Stig. I didn't quite get why it shows Vettel and the team behind the Red Bull F1 cars. Does this mean we'll see Formula One cars in GT5?
