Nux top after a good game agaist Minnesota last night (this morning). Glad Manny got a goal, too.

      WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Saw your boys play the other day actually, was in LA over New Years for my teams football game and we caught the LA Kings playing them. Bad game as far as Nux were concerned :D But they are doing well generally.

My Ducks are just F***ing embarrassing this year. Terrible.

      Rangers are impressive this year!!

Nux beat Boston away for the first time in four games this year.

Just seen the highlights, and it looked to be a cracking game.

How to stop Boston - either:
      - Become the Canucks, OR;
      - Make them take penalties and use special teams to score

      ^^^  Thanks  ;D

I wasn't havin a go at ya or nothin, but I think as time passes it's easy to forget how much he dominated.  The way he saw the game , it was like in slow motion to him.

Gretzky was once in a lifetime. Crosby is once a decade. I remember when Eric Lindros was the next "one".

As for Crosby / Lemieux, I still gotta give it to Mario (as much as I absolutely HATED him ). Crosby may end up a better player in the long run , but he's got a long way to go. He still only like 23 so it is possible.

      Just Enjoy

      Gretzky HQ 2011

I was at his last game, one of those times you never forget.

      Back to 2012 now....

RANGERS WIN AGAIN!!!!!   Best team in the NHL, woo hoo. 1st time since '94 lead the league in pts in January.

Could it happen again , I think Lord Stanley misses Broadway , he had a good time last time he was in town  ;D
Honestly I never saw Lindros as "Next One" even when he was drafted.  Too me he seemed very immature.  He had the skill and great size but he was a little too inconsistent. Not too mention he was made of glass.  He was always injured and then the concussion issues just completely ruined his career.

I remember watching a Rangers v Flyers playoff game, this was in 97 I think and in the game their was one play where Lindros checked Messier and stole the puck and scored, then the announcer, maybe Melrose or Pang or someone said 'It seems that the Torch has been passed".  Since that point on I hated Lindros.  I dont know why but Messier is the "Messiah". Too me, personally he was the best player to ever play, he was my favorite hockey player ever.  Gretzky, Lemieux, Hull, Jagr etc.. may of been better scorers and passers and just all around more skillful.  But as a Captain. Their was none better.

His "Guarantee game" has to be the greatest 60 minutes of hockey ever. Facing elimination, game 6 at the Devils, down 2-1 in the 3rd period Messier scores 3 GOALS in the 3rd period and wins 4-2.  Thats the greatest performance ever.

Then when they won the Cup and he's standing on the Ice holding the Cup and he smiles and starts rocking the Cup up and down. If your Ranger fan then you know what I'm talking about.  C'mon thats Iconic.

It was a very good game, best this season thus far in terms of entertainment value and there is a lot of stuff said after the game.

100% agree about Mess. So many guys were brought into the Rangers for years that were supposed to lead them that elusive Cup. From Phil Esposito to Bernie Nicholls. None delivered. Messier did. He thrived on the pressure. And he was under alot of it here in NY.

If I ever had to win ONE game , I'd take Messier over anyone else that ever played. The "Guarantee" vs the Devils to me was the greatest performance in playoff history. Hands down. "WE'LL WIN TONIGHT" headlines in the papers that morning. Unforgettable. Then again I wear those blue tinted spectacles.

Greatest leader in hockey history and maybe in all sports IMO.

And the Rangers are still #1 in the NHL.  LETS GO RANGERS

Thats a perfectly legal and clean hit and that announcer needs to stop talking sh*t, "Wheres the whistle?" Shut up. I can pull out a million clips of cheap hits from the Flyers.

First, Voracek is playing the puck off the boards and his head is down. The first rule of Hockey is protect yourself. You never play the puck, off the boards w/ your head down.  That is something they teach in pee wee Hockey.  Not too mention that Kronwall never left his feet, never went for the head and laid his shoulder into it.

Great Hit....keep your head up. Hockey's a fast game.

I think the announcer was calling for a whistle because he was hurt, not cause it was a penalty

      Clean Hit or Not?

Dave Brown Cross Checks Tomas Sandstrom in the face

And the dirty c**t Flyers announcers are sayng he's in acting school.  Sandstrom is gonna play dead to try and draw a penalty. Listen to these fucktards. Always been a c**t orginazation.

The Flyers owner said in the docu that they always sign players with the same mentality of the Brad Street Bullies, that's explain everything. I'm new following NHL, do you think the Bruins are the new Broad Street Bullies? I don't think so but they certainly play hard and physical.

No, I dont think there will ever be a team like that 70's Flyer team. It's a different game now. Playing hard and physical is one thing but those old Flyer teams were mostly just goons. It was an era of bench clearing brawls, cheap shots and alot more fighting.

The game now is all size, speed and skill. It's hard to win just on intimidation now, and thats basically how the Flyers won back then.

Big surprise regarding Nux, but it just wasn't to be. Still, Presidents' Trophy two years running plus the playoffs final ain't that bad.

Here's how I think the playoffs will pan out. Winners in bold:

      NY Rangers vs Washington Capitals

      Philadelphia Flyers vs NJ Devils

St. Louis Blues vs LA Kings

      Nashville Predators vs Phoenix Coyotes

MSG was simply Rocking last night.  tie the game up with less than 10 seconds left and then win it early in OT.  So Awesome.  Just an insane feeling when the tying goal went in.
