Please expand. This is something I was thinking of today actually. There's this dj on Radio City who might well be scouse, but because he's on the radio, he over exaggerates it so bad, it nearly makes me want to ring up the radio station and have a f***in' go at him!
Well I think there are "Scouse" words and predominantly Scouse words. Words or phrases like "boss", "well in", "sound", "queen" (in reference to a nice old girl) are words that I'd say are predominately Scouse words, but have been adopted by people from outside the city. So I see no problem in non-Scousers using those words.
But words like "la" "bread" (in reference to money) "barney" (in reference to a scrap/fight) are, what I'd consider, solely Scouse words and when people from outside the city start using them I think it's trying to impress. There's predominantly Geordie words like "pet" or Cockney words like "bruv" and Liverpool has their own words which, in my opinion, should be used by people from the city.
