Barcelona invite offers for Liverpool, Man Utd target Deco
      Mar 14, 2007 04:36:58 pm
Barcelona will listen to offers for midfield ace Deco.

DiarioSport says Barca are prepared to cash in on Deco - and teammate Rafael Marquez - at the end of this season. Deco, at 29, has struggled to maintain his best form this term and Barca are prepared to sell him, banking on the Portuguese's reputation abroad to attract a big-money auction over the summer.

Both players share the same agent, Jorge Mendes, who also has strong ties with Chelsea, where manager Jose Mourinho is a client. AC Milan have already made tentative enquiries about Deco's availability in the last fortnight, while Chelsea and Manchester United are being linked today in the Catalan press.

Deco is contracted to Barca until 2010 and his buyout clause is £50 million.

Good player and would not mind him at all but we have 4 CM that means if we get him we need to get rid of either Sissoko or Mascherano and i don't want that to happen

True but as a lot have been saying, he is one who can turn and leave defenders for dust. Also Barca's best player versus us! Id take him :)

True, we may have to sell but itd be better to wait and see what materialises.

We don't need that kind of player, he is good yes but not what is needed for us. I'm well happy with MOMO and mascherano...

Mascherano is going to be fantastic for us.....and he is young. Sissoko is getting and better and if we sold him he'd be a thorn in our side in the future....and is young. Gerrard sits at God's righthand. Alonso is hot and cold but is only going to get better.....Deco would be great but hard to see where he'd fit in....none of our present midfielders deserves to be sold.

Deco could be a good aquisition but my concern is his age.By the begginning of the next season he will be 30 and that i believe will not be helpful especially at the time we are trying to get in young talent for the future. We should be careful not to buy players who can compete for just one or two seasons in the premiership

thats important if we could get him and really start a challenge to become the league champion even if he is just good for a season or two, dont forget that its gonna take a long time to produce a kid like fabregas and just see arsenal young side?how did they did in europe?.. with him in our side the young player can learn a lot of things and with his experience he can bring our team to new height in europe.

Diving b***ard.  Don't want him.  Too lightweight for the Premiership.

Hmm, tough one but not really his game is about being a playmaker and that happens in the centre
