Lots of claims that this is the 'greatest top division side of them all'. What a load of nonsense. You need to have won the European Cup alongside the league to deserve that accolade.
As hard as it is to admit, the Man Utd side from 10 years ago when they won both was a much better side. Far more rounded from defence to attack and rich in experience with players playing right in their prime. And they had a wealth of British players to draw from with Ronaldo and Tevez adding a bit of foreign flair and bite around that core. Also, those players actually chose to play for Man Utd because of that club's stature and history unlike the current Man City cabal who are only there because of the wages.
