City men were sh*te last night...sure puts things in context
Because they're not doped up to the eyeballs...allegedly.
Just read up on the institutionalised drugs cheating that happens in Spanish sport, (including Guardiola himself) and you can't not help but be suspicious. Which is a shame for a guy who conducts himself with class most of the time in the media. Not just Guardiola - he's more a product of that culture rather than a ringleader but with the likes of Dr Segura and the Operation Puerto case it's hard not to look at Spain's club and international dominance in the late 00s and early 2010s with high suspicion. Stories such as those posted above about Man City not meeting standards on anti doping regulations only serves to heighten such paranoia and suspicion.
What with their reckless breaking of the rules and subsequent behaviour and all round lack of class surrounding the FFP probe, who's to say that Man City don't take such deceitful and corrupt behaviour onto the field?
