Reds and the "big four" dreamteam
      Aug 17, 2009 04:17:39 pm
Was thinking about this earlier. Maybe a bit daft but we are all bit down after yesterday and there's all the talk of our squad is weak etc but if you had to pick a team out of the top 4 from last year who would be in it? I've tried to be as unbiased as possible (honest) but I cant think of any other United players who I'd pick.

What do you think? Anyone agree or feel free to call me names  ;D

Reina - best keeper in Europe bar none

Bosingwa - well it wasnt going to be Gary Neville was it :D
Carragher - no need to explain, we all dream of a team........
Vidic - even after Nando whipped him at OT
Evra - not much to choose from, pips Cashley Cole.

Gerrard - best all round player in the world, put him on the right because I couldnt think of anyone else who'd do better
Fabregas - back to his best vs blue noses
Essien - just pips Masch for his attacking as well as defensive skill
Joe Cole - again....not much to choose from but when fully fit???

Van Persie - when fit, hes top player for me
Torres - along with Villa best striker in Europe

so going on theat...we should win the league ;)

Shouldn't be in The Kop, should be in General Football!

I'll answer properly in a few minutes

Carragher after Sunday? Definitely not. His day is done. Need defensive cover and quick. Evra not sure. Also not gonna like it but when Gerrard and Rooney play together for England the combo is lethal.

      That looks about right.
If we still had Alonso, I'd put him ahead of Essien, too.

Arshavin is a good shout, but he never performs on the right wing. His best position is the Gerrard role or on the left, IMO.

But Gerrard's better in the Gerrard role, so I guess it's pretty pointless including Arshavin.

Of course Gerrard is better, but Arshavin is still a magical player.
