Rafael Van der Vaart (Real Madrid)

Dutch media are reporting that VDV is staying with Real Madrid. Madrid has told him they want him to stay now their squad has been brought back to 25 players. VDV has decided he wants to fight for a spot at Real. They gave him back his original squad number and he's part of the team again. He had offers from 2 clubs from the EPL that he was considering, but turned them down now.

The only way I can see VDV leaving Real now if he's part of a swap deal with Ribery.

Ya looks as if this chap is gonna fight and Real Madrid for a place... Don't see it happening for him maybe a 6 month loan in January wouldnt be a bad idea to see if he is any use in Premiership....

I think the loan transfer window is open longer, if my memory serves me correctly.

He wants to stay because Real is his dream club. He's dutch but also half spanish, his family is originally spanish, big part of his family still lives in Spain. He feels it's worth another shot, and thinks he could leave in january instead if needed.
