Luisao... that's the centre back from Benfica isn't it?

Is this a friendly by the way or a WC qualifier?

      Yes it's him.

WC qualifier. If Brazil wins tonight, we are already in the WC. Argentina is 4th.

Sorry Diego, but I'd like to see Argentina get one before the break to make a game of it second half.

I take it it's 2-0? I once read an interesting book about the history of Brazilian football I know how big a rivalry there is betweeen these two, clash of cultures you might say.

      Brazil dominating or what?

Not really. Argentina just crap in defence. The ref is chuffed to have a yellow card to show off though.

      HT Argentina 0x2 Brazil

We are not brilliant, but deserved to win. Argentina's back four is a joke and completely lost on set pieces. They don't look like a team at all... Maradona is having a hard time there ;D

Hope it stays that way, so we can celebrate our WC place in front of the argies ;)

I'm planing on tuning in later but I've recorded the X-Factor, Haha, are they both fielding full strength sides then? And is there some attractive football being played?

I see Diego is chuffed with the proceedings so far!

      Their back four:

      Heinze - Otamendi - Sebá - Zanetti

Zanetti was quality in the past but how old is he now? 36, 37?

Sebá played for Corinthians during the MSI times and he didn't leave many good memories (had a lot of injuries too)... he may be a good player for the Argentine league but that's it. Otamendi is only a young defender, maybe promissing, but I never heard of him before. Heinze is a joke.

Yeah both sides are playing full strenght...

Argentina: Andujar, Zanneti, Otamendi, Sebá, Heinze, Rodriguez, Masch, Veron, Datolo, Messi, Tevez.

Brazil: Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Luisao, André Santos, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Elano, Kaka, Robinho, Luis Fabiano.

Beating Argentina is always great ;D With their manager being Maradona, and the game in Argentina, it only gets better!

Yer It's a massive result mate, beating the Argies in their own back yard! What a strange back four they've selected though. I do respect the players on both sides Zanetti has had a fantastic career, big fan of Masch of course, and Messi is one of the most talented players I've ever seen.

Always respect the Brazilian way of football too.

      What's the latest then?

Just got up from bed and still a little in the blur. Can't be arsed finding a stream to watch this seeing there's only 30 minutes or so to go really.

You must be well chuffed with the result thus far, Diego. I was expecting it to be a high scoring, free flow football but from the looks of it Brazil have taken their chances.

Aguero came in for Rodriguez on half time... Argentina are pressuring us at the moment, didn't have a big chance to score yet but they are looking better.

We just had a good chance now, Luis Fabiano almost scored his second.
