(UCL) Liverpool FC vs Debreceni VSC - The Match Thread

Rafa Benitez has selected an unchanged XI for this evening's Champions League opener against Debrecen.
Steven Gerrard will once again partner Lucas in midfield, while Javier Mascherano returns to the Liverpool bench after missing Saturday's 4-0 victory over Burnley through injury.
  
Fabio Aurelio is also back in the matchday squad after missing the early part of the season with a knee problem. The Brazilian will hope to be involved in the second half.

I see Rafa has retained the same line up. Well, a good strong team. Should be able to do Debrecen. Interesting to see Babel on the bench as well..Come on redmen!!

Good to see Gerrard and Lucas in the centre of the park, with Yossi playing behind. Yossi deosn't deserve to be moved at the moment, and neither does Gerrard for that performance against Burnley (Same goes for Lucas).  We should be able to knock a couple past these amateurs.

The starting XI is what I hoped for. The bench looks strong too, I was getting worried about the weakness of our bench within the last few weeks.
