I've been in this situation before and it was pretty difficult.

No doubt LP can help you out when she reads.

What I would say though is don't all of a sudden blurt it all out to her unless you have a feeling she'd like the spontaneous bit about it and you think she feels the same way. Otherwise you are obviously risking your friendship.

Thing is, this situation works out differently for different people. If it didn't work out some can put it behind them without it having much affect and for others it can have a big dent on their relationship.

So it's up to you mate. Do what you think is right. But don't rush into a decision, if you think time's what's needed then give it time, who knows, you may pick up hints then that she likes you too.

This situation is a bit tricky.

You say you find her attractive but you're not sure if it's just a faze that you're going through.
And also you're quite sure she doesn't like you in that way.

Well, with all that taken into consideration, my best advice to you would be to give it time.
Wait a while before saying anything, just to know how you really feel about her and then if the feeling persists then take the next step.

Don't tell her straight away, maybe drop hints and be a little bit more affectionate towards her to see what kind of reaction you get.

But before all this, as I said, give it time. There is no point in you rushing in and telling her how you feel if you yourself aren't even sure.
You could jeopardise your friendship and make things really awkward.

Also, you asked how do you know if it's a passing thing?
Well, yet again time will tell. If the feeling doesn't go away/gets stronger over the next few weeks/possibly months then it's probably not a 'passing thing' but only you know how you really feel. Maybe compare your feeling you have towards her to someone who you know you really cared for. You should be able to tell from that.

Another one here who has gone through the same thing. F***ing rips at ya day in day out that feeling eh? Look, the thing is for me is make sure of your feelings, like our expert LP said, before ya jump the gun. You don't wanna blurt it all out, have her get all weird about it, and then two weeks later after getting the load off your chest realize the feelings you had were not that strong. So give it time, and if the feelings stand true, then tell her. But don't do it in a desperate way if you get my meaning. More so just tell her your honest feelings, and also don't make her feel pressured to feel like she has to reciprocate the feelings. This is really important, you don't want her to feel like she has to try and feel anything, you are just telling her as an honest friend. Just let her know how you feel, no pressure, and this may actually endear you to her more and help her feel more for you in the future. Always the most important thing is to preserve the friendship
