Co-chairmen
G.N. Gillett Jnr - Owners
T.O. Hicks - Owners
Ownership of the club, as Chairmen they have overriding power over the strategic (being long term) running of the club.
Directors
F.L. Gillett - Director
T.O. Hicks Jnr - Director
Now depending on them being executive or non executive they either have a say in the running of the business (executive) or they give advice on decisions to be made (non-executive). I would have thought they'd be the latter.
Managing Director
C.M.C. Purslow - MD
Oversees the day to day running of the business, carrying direct responsibility for Rafa, the team, background staff, everyone basically. Also sits on the board of directors, thus meaning he airs the views of the people he manages i.e. Rafa.
Group Chief Financial Officer - CFO
P. Nash
Fincancial Officer / Financial Director -probably a qualified accountant too at this level, basically manages the books, recording all income and expenditure and managing financial risk.
Commercial Director -Sales/Marketing
I. Ayre
A salesman essentially, he would have a target of income revenue and would work to promote the Liverpool "brand", sponsorship, advertising, media etc, etc.
Team Manager - Duh!
Rafael Benitez
Hon. Life President
D.R. Moores
Previous chairman / owner, possibly used for advice but has no say in anything, the word "life" signifies that he is welcome at the company anytime.
Hon. Life Vice Presidents
T.D. Smith
K.E.B Clayton FCA
J.D. Burns
J.H. Cresswell ACA
As with David Moores, these people have worked for the company before, and "are always welcome" which signifies the honorary and life bits. The FCA and ACA are the American and UK Chartered Accountants agencies so guess what they did.
Hope that clears it up, I've studied business and such for around 10 years now and the structure is essentially the same as any LTD company.
