Away Kit - Just a Myth?
      Oct 01, 2009 08:18:57 am
Obviously the title is a little bit of sarcasm, but i was wondering, when will we see the new away kit in action, in a competitive match? I know we saw it in pre-season but since the start of the season we have not been seen in it. Against Chelsea this weekend i assume we will go in dressed in red, which of course i always prefer.
Main wonderment was whats the longest amount of time it has taken for the away kit to appear in the season? I am expecting we will probably see it at Sunderland, but that will be the 9th game in - ever taken that long or longer i wonder?

      Maybe..
:D No, actually wondered it since the hammers game when like you said Adryan, I expected to see us in it. Seriously wondering if this is the longest we or maybe any team has gone without letting it outta the bag yet? I mean it is almost quarter of a season gone by the time we will see it I think.

What can I say to make the pain (of wondering/curiosity) go away big lad?  ;D

Here ya go, take your pick:

1: Yes it is the longest that we or maybe any team has gone without letting it outta the bag. *

2: No it is not the longest that we or maybe any team has gone without letting it outta the bag*

      * delete were appropriate.  :P

      My guess is no.

Actually, pretty good point. Something I've not thought of.

You'd be forgiven for thinking Liverpool's away kit is the white one, not the black one which it actually is.

Personally I think it was a bit of a mistake - Liverpool should have defined the white one as the away kit and the black one as the third kit.  (Bit of false advertising there).

All the times we have worn our away kit have been against team with dark purpley sh*t coloured shirts - West Ham and Fiorentina.

We should definitely be wearing it against the Mancs away for instance - but then we will have to wear all black with white socks (which will look very gay).

We should see the new away shirt three times in the next few weeks.  First off Sunderland (A) then Arsenal (A) and then Debrecen (A).

I believe that's a champions league game against Real Madrid. Steven Gerrard's wearing a champions league armband but why are there the Premier League badges and name/number???

Maybe they decided to switch between the black and white, now the white is away and the black is champions league.

Obviously just Photoshopped a load of different images onto the same background (not just the big bloke), don't think it's an actual photo.

Torres, Alonso and Kuyt look a bit weird behind, and the situation looks daft.

Why would Alonso be congratulating/commiserating with Torres before a free kick? Plus he would have been stood with Gerrard deciding what to do.

Maybe the white kits aren't Real Madrid, and they just got the perspectives wrong and they're actually adveritsing the white kit :D

I actually like the black one but the black Champions League away one in 2007/2008 was class.

White seems abit gayish if you ask  me, the black are nice, kinda remind me the grey we had last season which i really liked.

And we're in out away kit... at home... against a team in white.

When I get home from college I'll do some research to see what the longest time is it's taken to debut an away kit in competitive matches. I should do homework, but this obviously is far more important ;)
That picture is obviously just one to look good promoting the kit, not going for any realism as far as situation go's.
Ordered this kit the other day, got Kuyt on the back gonna look boss I reckon! And so will my girl in the Torres shirt I ordered for her :D
