Will it be another 3 points, or will we slip up with one eye on the chavscum on tuesday  ???

Lets just hope its a clean game, without injury to our boys, if they are not rested that is!!

Strictly speaking, it doesn't matter. But a defeat won't be great for overall morale, so I would say go for a win, but don't risk any injuries.

I hope Rafa plays Robbie and he bags a brace or a hattrick..just to show Rafa that he hasn't lost his touch and maybe he could still be in contention to do the same to those Chavs and lead us to glory in Athens....we need to put the ball in the back of the net.

Rest most of the boys on saturday??
Realisticly, we could rest most of the team tomorrow, not that i am underestimating Portsmouth, but depending on who rafa is planning to use on tuesday would determine it, but players like
Dudek, but then does reina need a break, he could yet get injured, would keep him safe to be honest!)
Hypia Solid as a rock, could maybe play tuesday for experience??
Sissoko (Prove how he is, could be a great player tuesday if he is on top form, but needs to show it first)
Zenden (shouldnt play return leg..i hope!!)
Fowler Would Love hime to play tuesday at get a hatrick, but cant see rafa using possibly his best finisher in the squad!!

Thats 5 and still others that could come in and do the job!!

      What do you think?

Sky Sports news says Gerrard, Reina and Carragher are all rested, along with Crouch I think.
Hyypia and Dudek starting, Fowler likely to.

I hope we win, cos it's Pompey, but if we don't, we have a much more important game on Tuesday :scarf:

Probably the worse back four we could put in the side at the exception of Hyypia and arbeloa, it's going to be a looong afternoon, the defense is inexistent for the moment and no creativity whatsoever..Come on reds where is your pride!..2-0l behind already

I understand that it is not a must win game but we should still try harder. Alonso with sissoko in the middle, dosen't work. The defense is scary and in front there is no pace, nothing. Zenden, time to go mate useless, insua is doing what he can, 18 years old first game we can't expect a senior performance from him but Paletta very very poor. Gonzales is our best player at the moment. In all a scary game to watch so far, come on reds..come on...

Not at all no, it's his first game and he is only 18 I think. We will probably playing better in the second half, RAFA will have a word or two...;)

I'm not too bothered about us losing. I knew we would as soon as I saw "Reina .. rested" on SSN. Sami scored, woo :)
