      In ten years time
      Dec 25, 2009 03:18:35 am
End of a decade. New one to come.

Ten years ago, not all that many people knew what text messages were. Now, there's a thing called text language.

      Scary isn't it.

How's things going to be different in ten years time? Where do we go from here?

      I have a few predictions:

      1. DVD's will be looked at in the same way VHS is looked at now.
      2. Definately going to be some major war either involving Israel, Iran or Russia.
      3. The few remaining people who still believe in global warming will realise its balls when all the 2020 predictions for temperatures are wrong.
      4. People will have a device in their pocket that does absolutely everything (the iPhone is already on its way for that) including lights, controls and all that.

The one thing that wont change is England's most successful club.

One thing for sure in 10 years time L.F.C. supporters will not have to worry about Hicks and Gillette, they will have taken their filthy lucre and be long gone from this great club.Hopefully in ten years time owners of clubs will realise it is the fans who make the clubs what they are.My only wish is at Liverpool Football Club we can get owners the like of T.V.Williams,John Smith and club secretaries like Peter Robinson.I hope this post is not off topic as this is what i really hope for in the next 10 years, then and only then we return to the greatness  that was initiated by the late great Bill Shankly.

Watching something the other day that reckoned that the world is going to become extremely virtual.

For example, instead of talking through webcams, we will be able to see a virtual portrait of each other (almost like in Star Wars) and there may be ways of actually shaking hands virtually through electronic mechanisms or something. Really interesting it was.

It's very scary to think that 10 years have gone so quickly, it only seems like yesterday that we were celebrating the Millennium.

Let's hope during the next 10 years that things improve dramatically, from public transport to cruelty to animals for example.

Technologically has moved on so fast, I just can't keep up with it.

My wishes for the next ten years are world peace, I know I know, its asking a lot  ::) an end to all wars, that everybody in the whole world has enough to eat and somewhere warm to rest.

And that Liverpool win everything going.....now I am being unrealistic aren't I  :D

If we can get rid of Hicks and Gillette  I would say you are being very realistic.I agree with you about world peace and  an end to all wars. The 2nd world war was supposed to be the end of all wars but not a year has gone by without there being a war somewhere.

Really strange to think that the last ten years have held so much for me. Started the decade having just joined secondary school, went to college and then into work (and now redundant!!) From a quiet young lad, into a gobby teenager and now just an average guy (or so I hope!)

Here's to the next ten years, looking forward to it!

I thought it was supposed to end in 2000 according to all those predictions. So we're getting an extra 12 years ....sweet.
