I have no idea what Mbps means though.
Stands for MegaBytes Per Second (how much data you can send/receive per second)
& i had the problem with facebook for BB, rang Vodafone and they said i had to pay an extra flim a month for the "Blackberry Access Application" but after 3 weeks the Facebook app f**ked my phone up, not allowing me to type in numbers the normal way.
Cant fault Blackberrys though, magnificent piece of kit
So, basically without data plan you still get to use the internet, but only if somewhere near has an internet connection or whatever.
But with a data plan you can access the internet anywhere and everywhere, am I right? Even at places which doesn't have a WiFi connection, like in the buses, or even in public toilets etc.
Mobile internet uses your phones signal, and the data plan allows for Blackberry applications such as facebook to access internet without using your phones internet browser. Wi-fi is irrelevant to an extent unless you go into the Blackberry Browser options and change the way you access internet from Mobile Network to Wi-Fi connection.
