Pre Match: Reading v Liverpool. FA cup 3rd round KO 17:15
      Dec 30, 2009 01:11:19 pm
Off to Reading in the cup with a nice win at Villa under the belt. I think we need to win the cup this season or a t least have a right good run in it. Therefore we need to play as close to our best 11 in this tie. Reading have been poo at home this season but you can be sure theyll be up for this tie.

For me the 11 should be

      Reina

      Darby Carra Agger Insua

      Yossi Stevie Lucas Aurelio

           N'Gog Torres

Same team as last night but Babel wide right instead of Kuyt.

Remember it was Reading who ended our unbeaten run in Premierleague last two season.
      Ironically Reading went relegated.
In cup competition like this, those teams from lower division will looking forward to seeing premier division team, and they might come with less pressure and enjoy the game.
I'm not sure if Rafa could send out strongest team, maybe he consider next premiere league match against Spurs.

Yeh Babel for Kuyt, Pacheco for Benayoun,Gerrard in the middle for Aquilani(to rest him) with Ngog Torres up front.

Would like to see an alternative team selection with more physicality and talent then work rate.

Edit oops yeh gotta be Kelly at right back. The lads the future. Would like to see him being groomed as a centre half. Unreal commitment for a lad of his age.

No pissing about, full strength team.
1 - to keep the confidence up.
2 - to give us a half decent chance of actually winning a trophy.
3 - because Reading's home form of late has been a shambles so it should be a decent chance for us to knock some goals in.
4 - Reading should be playing for a new manager at the time so there'll be looking to impress.
5 - Reading have no chance of winning promotion, in fact they're more likely to go down so they may be resting a few of their bigger names in which case if we've got a strong XI we can get the game won and then rest the bigger names.

I love the FA Cup and it's been too long since we had a decent run it, hopefully this year we can have a good stint and actually find ourselves at Wembley. We haven't been there since 96. It'd be a great way to kick off the new year and just keep this momentum up, we lost the momentum we picked up after beating United by going out of the Carling Cup. I don't wanna see that happen again.

Plus we still owe Reading a good stuffing at the Madjeski after the 3-1 defeat we suffered there a few years back.

Come on Redmen, start our year and FA Cup campaign with a big win.

A good cup run is long overdue , i would rather see Rafa put strong teams out in the FA cup rather than the europa cup , with no champions league this is the next priority with a fourth place finish.

I think we should put out the strongest team possible for every match,it does not matter if it is the league,F.A.Cup or Europe. The F.A.Cup is still a prestige trophy and is one most of us would love to win,so RAFA please put out your strongest team and knock seven bells out of Reading and leave nothing to chance.
