in my eyes yossi is just a notch below stevie and nando as some 1 has suggested i really feel for us if we seel our only playmaker at this time and he is worth triple the 5 million valuation in my eyes!

That is the deal, a simple swap. It was never about Yossi. Liverpool are not willing to dish out 7.5 million for Torosidis, but have asked for him as have many clubs.

Got a bit of a shock when I saw the title of the thread but, when I read the post and saw the part that said for £5 million, it came as some relief. What a joke.

Olympiakos have been rebuffed over an inquiry for Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun but will return with an offer for his team-mate Albert Riera.

The Greek side have offered around £5million and wages of £40,000 a week tax free for Israeli Benayoun but Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez will not sell. He may be swayed on Riera, who has failed to capitalise on a good first season at Anfield

Rafa's happy enough to pick Kuyt ahead of Yossi when everyone's fit though! Personally I would play Yossi as much as possible.

yeah, couldn't agree more.  I really got on the Yossi bandwagon at the start of last season and he's been one of my favorite players since.  Hell he's been one of the team's best players. 

He's one of those guys that just needs to be on the first team as much as possible.  He's a pretty versatile player so it's easy to fit him in.  I can see why managers would like a guy like Kuyt, but the things Yossi on the pitch are needed just as much if not more.  Not to say that they both shouldn't play all the time.

The Greeks are spelling Yossi's name wrong, its spelt V-O-R-O-N-I-N. Oh and hes got a blonde pony tail now. Honestly Olympiakos you wont be dissapointed with him.
