      Nathan Eccleston (Huddersfield)

Huddersfield Town are set to strengthen their attacking options with the loan addition of Liverpool starlet Nathan Eccleston, skysports.com understands.

The talented 19-year-old striker recently committed his future to the Reds by signing a long-term deal that keeps him at Anfield until 2013.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, who is happy for the teenager to bolster his experience at League One level, is tipping Eccleston as one for the future.

The Manchester-born youngster has already made two Reds first-team appearances after featuring off the bench in Carling Cup action at Arsenal and in the Premier League against Fulham.

Eccleston will link up with Lee Clark's Terriers once the paperwork is finalised and could now be in line to make his debut for the West Yorkshire outfit against Yeovil at Huish Park on Saturday.

Could be a good experience for the lad

FFS why can't younger players get a chance at our club.

This is a good move. He can get a chance to show what hes about at League One and be brought back to fight for a spot next year

Loan move would do him good, would have preferred it have been a team better than Huddersfield though.

I'd rather see Nathan 'blooded' with us than loaned out. Is our academy to be a feeder club for lesser teams?

In my opinion there's as much quality in the reserve league as the third tier of English football.

Let's be honest here, would Rafa ever contemplate signing a player (to start in the first XI) from Huddersfield or Leeds, for e.g.? Surely Nathan 'starring' and getting experience in Div 1 is no different than that which Jermaine Beckford is already doing at Leeds.

Maybe he wants the lad to get some "running about like a headless chicken" and "lateral passing" coaching before he can trust him with a run out for us.  ;)

another youth player on the way out ala Guthrie and Anderson.

what is the point of loaning them and then dont give them a chance after their loan spell.

Wonder if he'll go straight into the starting line-up?

Experience for him though isn't it. Hopefully he'll be played as much as possible during his loan spell.

      Good luck Nathan.

Good to see him moving around, get some experience, and come back to the squad a better player.

Terry Mac will take him under his wings, hope he gets some good playing experience at Huddersfield, and comes back to us a better player, he's too good to let go permanently.

He gave Kelly a chance to play last season, he did really well and came back and got given a chance in the CL. Terry Mac raved about him. Hopefully the same will happen with Eccleston
