Seems like an obvious thread that every good forum should have really  :D

      I'll start it off:

I can't stand it when people say either "preggers" or "prego"

      absolutely does my head in.

When a girl or lad describes someone as 'hot.'

And when someone Scouse says the word bloke. Oh, my, word. Sort it out. Just doesn't sound right.

You're knackered on here. It doesn't sound right when it isn't Scouse though. ;)

I reckon it's the accent thing that makes it okay for us.

Imagine someone without a Scouse accent saying 'That's boss that.' Just doesn't sound the same. :D

      Deffo. ;)

Used to hate that but it doesn't bother me now.

Makes me cringe when people shorten down programme names. Like the Jungle. Or Celeb BB. Or Millionaire. Makes me want to punch them.

Naughty - seems to be getting overused far too much nowadays.

      Meff - what a sh*t insult.

Behave yourself - gets right on me nerves that.

Gaff - as in house, no it's not a gaff it's an 'ouse. (only really annoys me when Scousers say it)

Have to agree with all of them.

Naughty was definitely played out too much.

And you can leave meff for a much simpler bout of 'you f*cking scruff.' Sounds well better. :D

      Cheeky.

I used to say it, then my mate's stole it, and now I realize how much of a bellend I sounded (yet they copied me!)

E.g. You want a 'cheeky' pint? No, mate I don't want a cheeky F***ing pint, I'll just have an pint! There is nothing cheeky about it!

I'm not being funny but I knew this bird who was a sound character, she was pretty mint - then she got preggers, and her other half obviously thought it was lush 'cus he was about to be a dad.

Basically, I was speaking to her, and don't get me wrong she's obviously pretty hot, and I asked her how she felt about becoming a mum and she said, "whatever, innit?"

Now her dad's bought her a 52" HDTV and I went round to have a look at it - it's SICK! Obviously basically her dad thought she could use some support innit, whatever.

      Haha, I'm joking guys ;)

Some are just normal words here in Aus. Like naughty, or cheeky. Just everyday words.

I like saying some as a pisstake but whoever says innit, mint and preggers for real is a right knob.

I have a sorta friend, i don't really like her much as she's the annoying type, that says 'me so...' instead of 'I'm so...'. DOES MY F***ing HEAD IN! I'm ready to knock her block off (which is another stupid saying if your a bigger build of a person because it makes you sound dumb as dog sh*t)(which is another stupid saying because since when did someone test out the IQ of dog sh*t? Someone with too much time on their hands)(which is another sh*t one because people complain about not having enough time and when they do, they bag out whatever they do in that time. And since when was time on your hands? Shits me up the wall)(Which is yet another crap one as why do you produce turds when your angry? Are you overwhelmed with anger that you lose control of your bowels? And why up a wall? Why do you want to lose control of your bowels and hurl it up a wall? That just makes things stinky and messy and the clean up is never pleasant)

I'd imagine around the Liverpool area it's accepted language and it sounds right.

Where I'm from it just sounds kinda stupid at times.

Internet ones - 'pwned'. 'rofl'. etc.

Having said that, I have heard a girl once say ';D' out loud instead of laughing. No sh*t.

Was in town earlier and there was a group of chavs stood around acting all hard (outside McDonald's ), should have just recorded their conversation and put it in here, never realised the way they talk and what they say pissed me off so much.

When someone says.."Literally" in a completely "non Literal" term.

When used in 99% of the conversations it makes the person sound like a f***in' Idiot.

For example...." When I heard that story I literally had a heart attack"....Really, so you actually had a heart attack?  In reality, you were rushed to the hospital because you had a heart attack. Because thats what "Literally" means...It means, the anecdote your using, the word "Literally", means you actually happened to have a heart attack.

So I surmise that people who use the word, w/out knowing the real meaning, and use it for effect, are morons. Literally.

Too use it correctly would be, for example...."Hicks and Gillette are Literally the worst owners LFC have ever had".  Now that is using the word correctly.

Aggro - Usually used when describing a bit of a punch-up at or around the match
A Row - Argument, that could lead to aggro
      Ponce -  A term for a gay/effeminate person!
Daft - can be used to describe someone who's a bit stupid/or does stupid, harmless things for a laugh

So a Chav could be considered a "Casual" or even Hooligan?  I thought it was more of a "White Trash" term.

It is, sort of, kind of describes someone who wears cheap, really cheap tracksuits.  I was taking the piss somewhat. In no way does it describe a casual or a supposed hoolie

But it is a southern-media invented word, I personally hate it, especially those that use it up here in Liverpool.

In the wider sense it does mean the Burberry set and all that goes with it but the Chelsea rabble seem to better define the word, in fact they should take a copywright out on it.

"It's/is all about" - used on Facebook mostly I've noticed.

      E.g.

John is all about town tonight!

John thinks it's all about town tonight!

      http://www.facebook.com/pages/ItsIs-All-About-Shut-Up/326138157872?ref=ts

Might just be people my age.

Some kind of trend at the moment where people say 'they are all about' something.

      For example.

David is all about going to the pub tonight.

David thinks it's all about going to Anfield today.

      Does my head in.

No one says it in real life, so why on FB!

I hate when people end a sentence with 'so it is' or 'so it was' or 'so she did' or 'so she does'. For example, 'Sophie went to the supermarket, so she did. It was very enjoyable, so it was. She thinks she will do it again, so she will.'

Gets on my tits. Think its a Northern Irish thing, its dead annoying.
