He was, yes. But made a few errors, also. His last ditch tackle on Adebayor came about because he was bullied off it and he/Agger dallied about.

I thought no one wanted to win it. A draw was good enough, but like F**k a draw is ever good enough.

To be honest with this performance we haven't deserved to play CL next season so simple is that !

Once again no firepower, no creation, no shots. Time to change the formation.

F**k off that was a well earned point and if you haven't copped on Man city haven't lost at home yet this season and to go there this far in the season and get the point without our star striker fully fit was great well in liverpool....

Well that was absolute poo.  Anytime we got in a good position the ball came straight back to Agger or Skrtel.  Can't win games if you don't create anything.

On that showing, City and Liverpool don't deserve to play Champion's League football.

And the ref was a complete joke!

Disappointing performance absolutely nothing in the way of creativity but nothing new there.

We didn't create 1 chance in the whole game watched Stoke cause them more problems at the back last week. Thought the ref was a disgrace.

On a plus side thought Masch was excellant and Agger and Skretel were outstanding they are starting to form a solid partnership.

      Frustrating match.

What was it, about 2 shots on target?

Think I'd have to say Skrtel for MOM as well

Really need a change, shift one or two players about, bring in a face or two.

Obviously attacking-wise, defence is as solid as it's been this season.

But we have literally nothing in the final third, utterly no movement or imagination. The players just stand about waiting for the player on the ball to do something, it's shocking.

And our inability to pass is worse than ever, simple control is lacking, awareness, the basics.

Everyone further forward than Reina and the back four can hang their heads in shame, not just based on this match of course.

Wake up Reds before the season is out of our grasp.

EDIT: I appreciate a draw at City's ground isn't bad based on their record at home, but we were dire, again.

So now we hope City/Villa/Spurs drop more points and we gain more points.

      I think we're in 7th now, aren't we?

Ref was very disappointing but so were we. The passing in the first half especially was atrocious at times.

Neither team deserved to win though but still a very frustrating result.

Slip down to 7th if Villa get anything out of their game in hand.

I said before the game a draw would be a decent result, but the manner in which it was played out does not satisfy me one bit.

They haven't lost at home all season it was always gonna be tough to win and especially without a match fit Torres... We have the best run in outta all the other teams going 4 fourth so a point here is massive they have Chelsea and spurs next and if the drop 2 points we can go ahead of them....

We definetly need pacy skillful wide men in the Summer.

Rafa has to stop as well playing 2 defensive midfielders in every single game it give us nothing in the final third of the pitch.

Frustrating as F**k, really scrappy. But like someone has said they are unbeaten at home this season so thats some achievment.

Good point although a scrappy performance.

      Skrtel outstanding!

We aren't scoring any goals. Seems to me the formation isn't working. If you dont create chance you dont score. I've said this a thousand times 2 holding midfielders means we are playing for a 0-0/1-0. Today a 0-0 is fine with me, but its happening too often. Kill teams off.

      Same for me.

That tackle on Adebayor at the end was vital and timed to perfection.

Shitty game, but we didn't look like winning that so a point will definitely do.
Let's hope city dont win the game in hand, but anyway, we should catch them soon.

Still not worried about getting 4th after today. City were supposed to be the home side there, who haven't lost at home by the way so they didn't exactly send out a strong message that they deserve 4th.

When you want to finish 4Th you have to win the games against your neighbours. For me it was just a kick in the midfield between this to sides. Defense was quite good today but you only have success in football when you scoring goals ....
