"1948: Rudolf Dassler steigt aus der Firma aus; Gründet die Puma AG"

for those who don't understand German my translation:

"1948 Rudolf Dassler left the company, he founded the Puma AG"
Not all what is coming from our country is bad :P

Glad to see the boys are able to sort out the commercial side of things so that now we have no alcohol advertising on our jerseys they can expand their sales into the Asian markets and make themselves even more money.

I'll stop being cynical when I see the big summer and a new stadium as promised

Prepare to be cynical for a long time bud :P

The problem for me is this.

Shirt sponsorship and kit sponsorship are arguably Liverpool's two biggest commercial assets.  The money from this should not be going on debt so a couple of American's can make steaming profits out of the club.

They should be going on a transfer kitty for the next 12 years, stadium developments.

Let's say Standard Chartered and Adidas (at least for the next 4 years) = £35M a year.

To me that's a transfer budget.

But for Liverpool under our owners that is our yearly debt interest payment. Not paying debt - just servicing debt. Our annual charge for having the privilege of Hicks and Gillett owning us.

      It's wrong, wrong, wrong.
In a perfect world, the money would be used for transfers ( Probably still wouldn't be enough though! ), but if the money goes to clearing the debt, making us more attractive to potential buyers then great. Because at the moment we aren't attractive enough!!

What's worse is how RBS allowed Hicks & Gillett to play Liverpool FC the way they did.

If the Club was going to be the collateral for the loan that paid for its ownership, RBS should have prioritized the repayment of the loan and the effective running of the Club. Putting it plain and simple, The Owners don't start profiting from the Club until the debt is fully or substantially paid.

Can some group sue RBS for unfair practice?.....

You gotta take one for the team here, mate.

I'd take a 12 inch black man if it brought us the Premier League Trophy

I'd Take two if it brought us the League and Champions League double. ;D

Cash boost? Laughable. We won't have a cash boost for while, yet.

Whatever we think of Purslow, the two deals he has done / nearly done with Standard Chartered and Adidas are light years ahead of what Parry ever did.

Yes, we have a heck of a long way to go, but at least these two deals help the club get some much needed revenue into the club.

Completely agree mate.                                                                                                                                                                           In spite of the reservations people have with Purslow if you consider the down the river transaction that his predecessor Mr Parry accomplished for that reason only he has got to be seen in a more positive light.
