Don't fancy Podolski cause he doesn't seem to have a Liverpool attitude,
.
Like stated above, 55 mil won't get us two quality players but one quality player and one good player or maybe 2-3 good players because Man City, Real Madrid and Chelsea have heavily inflated the prices of players in recent years.
If Aquilani and Benayoun are played more, we can probably save cost on creative players because with Gerrard, them three are creative enough.
With 50 million, I'd spend like maybe 25 million on David Silva. Let's say we successful acquire Joe Cole on a free and he's capable of playing on either side and in the hole. Think he may have played central back in his West Ham days even. If that happens, we'd have another 25 million to spend on a left back but I have no one in my mind.
Seeing we "got" Silva, Cole and a left back, that gives us enough midfielders in Maxi, Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Babel, Benayoun to be able to sell Riera and probably Kuyt (some may consider selling Benayoun as well). With the funds raised from selling Riera and possibly Kuyt, Benayoun, Degen and El Zhar, I'd get someone like Darren Bent. He's English and is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League.
That'd give us Torres and Bent as our strikers with the possibility of Nemeth, N'gog and Pacheco as cover.
Then we'd have Aquilani, Gerrard, Lucas, Mascherano, Maxi, Cole and Silva as our midfielders and Babel as our midfielders.
We'd also have Insua, Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Johnson, Kelly, Darby, Aurelio and the other left back.
Looks pretty decent or have I been FM-ing too much?
