Might just find himself as captain if he isn't careful. He should be at the very least appointed club captain if not first team skipper, he should have got that in the Summer IMHO.

Possibly Mick but he doesn;t need iit anyway. The lad is a natural leader.

I'm a huge fan of Lucas but I did think he might be one who struggles with Klopp's high intensity style but by all accounts from most on here he was very good yesterday.

      Great stuff.

Best player on the pitch today by far, but we don't want to see him have MOTM at home games, do we? :(

Seems a lot more vocal on the pitch since Brendan left. Lads showing much more leadership than James *poor mans Henderson* Milner.

      Kind of.
Hodgson wanted to get rid of him, presumably because purslow was still playing a computer management game in real life, but then he saw him in training and told purslow to sod off because he was keeping him.

Hodgson said something along the lines of "Sometimes you don't know much about a player apart from what you hear or read, and then you see them in training and the reality is different".

      Class act.

I did think he might struggle with the high intensity of Klopp's style but he hasn't and maybe its a bit of a myth that his legs have gone.

Anyone who follows Dave Hendrick on Twitter should keep an eye on his timeline of Lucas stays in the side as he was banging on about how poor Lucas is and that Klopp would be dying to get rid of him. I'm just wider g how he'll wriggle out of that one.

Hendo plays where Milner had been playing.

Hendo plays in place of Can for me, we are lacking someone who can take the ball forward without losing it and play those killer passes into our attacking midfielders.

Agreed, wont deny I was a little worried about his stamina but boy is he proving even me wrong. He's looking better than ever, long may it continue.

Deserves a goal too, been close more than a few times recently, it's coming.

If and when he scores it will be the biggest cheer of the season. Been a little while coming has a Lucas goal. Is getting more chances recently, usually off the back of him pressing higher up the field.

Think one of the commentators during the match said the last time he scored was 5 years ago. Would love to see him finally get a goal.

Yep, completely galvanised the midfield and gave us the control we needed to let our more attacking players get on the ball. I dare say it was even more apparent watching in the ground?

Seemed to be everywhere, talking, cajoling, dare I say leading.  Covered so much ground.
