There is no money for the stadium. Hicks cannot get backing for the 50% Gillett tried to sell him so the idea he can get the money for the stadium aswell is a long shot.
When youy think of it if he had accepted DIC's bid for 49% then the investment would be there, but he wants to be in charge and DIC's wealth means he never would be with them on board.

I'll tell you all one thing.

Remember when these two took over us they said 'It is something we consider if the price was right and it meant we could buy a new player every season?'

Well considering they are the biggest pair of bullshit merchants around what that translates to is:

'We'll sell the naming rights to anybody no matter how much little they pay us'.

The chances of it remaining as just plain old 'Anfield' are zero.

We're going to get a stupid named stadium - no question.

Sounds good but with the immense cost I'd imagine we would have to get a big name company to help with the funding.

The name of the stadium should be something that can relate to Liverpool FC and as long as we dont sell it to a company like Arsenal did, im satisfied :) When you sell a stadium name i mean you loose a lot of the identity of the club, and a club at LFC`s size must not do that.
