Hmmm, I guess I was wrong. It's probably that they don't spend 20 million on 2-3 players every transfer window.

I know Ibrahimovic and Alves are one of the two most expensive they've signed but it's not like they got them both in the same season.

I see what you mean mate. They proved that just a a couple quality signings a season can win you stuff, rather than spending 200+m in one lot.

To be honest Barca probably didn't even need to get Ibra as a replacement for Eto'o. Could have just let Eto'o go in a seperate deal because Bojan and Pedro have proved that they can play just as an important role as anyone in the team. Especially seeing as they have been keeping Henry and Ibra out of the team, both players who have bags of experience at both club and international stage.

Didn't they get Maxwell too, or was that part of the Ibra deal?

Amazing points scores from both Barca and Real Madrid.

If Madrid get rid of their manager then they're about as stupid as I think they are.

Yeah, but he didn't cost very much compared to those two. According to Wikipedia, he only cost like 4.5M Euro.

Remember that they gave Eto'o for Ibra, too.

Although more of a wing-back, that is very cheap, if true.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit, they got shut of Del Bosque after he won the European Cup.
