So roy gave the backing to this transfer, very unlikely and so it starts business men deciding who comes and goes with very little input from Roy all to pay RBS.

This deal was done weeks ago mate so out of Hodgsons hands. Disappointed that Yossi didn't hold off to see what happened during the summer as I thought he loved playing for the club. Obviously the attraction of a posher subs bench and more hard cash was enough to turn his head.

Was OK but far too inconsistent.......6m is good money for him IMO

If you read the story on the official site, it says the deal was sorted outa few weeks ago between Yossi and Rafa:

      http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/yossi-joins-chelsea

A Liverpool spokesman said: "Yossi's departure was agreed between the player and Rafael Benitez a number of weeks ago. Everybody at Liverpool FC wishes him well for the future."

And, why do we always have to sell good players for sh*t prices.

In the past 6million was an alright amount to buy a player. Now, who could replace Yossi for 6 Million??

Same story with Alonso last season, and when Owen left us for Madrid.
      Really annoys me it does.

Valdivia, the number 10 from Chile perhaps can replace Benny, same built perhaps with more creativity. He plays for Al Ain at the moment. Not sure if he's available or not though.

Strange transfer this one. Couldn't get in our team regular. No chance with Chelsea's squad - the wages might have swung it i think?

So much for all that bullshit about wanting to finish his career at the club then. God knows why they want him though, i'd have chosen giving Cole a new contract over getting Yossi any day.

      They can have the tw*t.

Thought he was quality for us at the end of 08/09 but at his age Im not going to mourn the loss of him. Chelski and Citeh and others can afford to pay cushy wages to these players to warm the bench. We can't. Thanks for your services Yossi.

The rice is pretty good for a 30 year old bench warmer, just a shame that money is going to go to reduce the debts.

Well, looking at it from his perspective, we're going nowhere, under a massive cloud at the moment, he's 30 years old, and the premier league champions have come knocking, offering him the chance to see out his career at a team that is going to be competing for all the silverware.

Unfortunately, to players, Football is just a job, and where more success if offered they will go, especially players like Yossi who have no great affinity with the club/fans.

However, weren't Roma sniffing around last season for about 8mill? Should of tried to start a bidding war...oh but our Yanks never went to business school let alone learn about how to run a 'soccer franchise'

Just proves to people who don't know sh*t about the owners and blamed last years big sales purely on Rafa, i mean, Roy's been here 1 day and there's a sale, the cu*ts were just looking for somebody to blame for the sale.
If you know what i mean :P

Still can't blame Yossi or any player for wanting to go to a club with relatively normal owners and a team challenging for all silverware, however i will contradict myself here and say that it's times like these which will make a player and show their loyalty and class and stick with the team that game them their big chance

f**ker has been itching for a move sometime now.

He really undermined rafa with all the talk in the press hence the reason rafa fu**ed him off its a shame the gaffa is not hear to see it.

Quality creative and solo player we had here.. cant really slag him off.. he did well for us... doubt chelsea was the right club for club... but they have a better chance to lift the premiership next season than we do..

So i wont wish you well.. sorry mate.. you have gone to our rivals..
