Was gonna go when it was a march, but not arsed now coz they're taking it on as a damn recruitment drive.
To be honest I'm a bit disappointed that the event has been hijacked by the SOS. This wasn't their idea, they've come in changed the format and like you said are going to be pushing their credit union scheme.

I will be going, if only to make my own zero-tolerance view heard.

Hopefully not just the local but national and international media will get all over this.

Cheers R.K. if I did that how far would I have to walk ?

From Hope St, it should only take you about 5 to 10 mins to get back down to St George's mate.

It's absolutely ridiculous if you ask me, I would have been all for them helping out to get people going to the march but they just stepped in and totally changed an idea that wasn't theirs to begin with. The only way I'd back this new scheme to get the fans to buy LFC is if they were to merge with ShareLiverpoolFC.

If they do it seperately they'll get half the money each and will be stuck. I reckon SLFC have got the whole management of the scheme down to a tee whereas SOS are delving into new depths of which they've never experience before. SOS would be good for getting people to get a few quid into the scheme like. And I'd hope they'd chip some cash from their own pockets from all the subscriptions too.

The march was just a much better idea with the balloons etc. Our marches don't turn violent like so why not continue with it, there's the excuse people are tired of the marches? I thought we have to fight for what we believe in?

Because SOS don't want that and we've gotta fall in line with their decision.

I can see this turning into 50% reds protesting and 50% general public coming to see whats going on. Bring a few cans of beer and they get entertainment for a couple of hours.

We didn't Debs, it was just me being cynical. (as usual!)

Just frustrated that something that started out as a full on march against the owners by fans, has been turned into a membership drive by the SOS. I understand and appreciate that something like this needs to be organised properly and publicised properly, something which SOS are better equipped to do rather than some joe on the street, but this shouldn't be their event.

It should be a event were we can show the world we are not happy and we want change.  Are SOS going to have an itinery of what is going ot happen throughout the day.  If they have taken it over I hope they are going to put on a good show as if they dont more people are going to get fed up with them.

      I'm with you there Billy.

I love the idea of the rally, and I think it will be a boss day. But when SOS are openly saying they're going to use the day to publicise their bits and bobs, it puts a downer on it.

As long as we make our voices heard and it focuses on the real reason why we all want to get together on Independence Day, it will have served a purpose.

Same here mate I was really looking forward to the original idea but will still be there.  Just don't agree with SOS hijacking the whole thing and dictating what/how we should do things.

This situation is becoming surreal. We sopposedly have an organisation to represent the supporters, but they are failing to endorse and lead the biggest fan's anti-owners protest to date,Why?We will continue with our direct protest.because you have become discredited in the view of many fans.Your'e lack of direct action is now prolonging the current ownership, because they believe that they can manipulate your,e politcal ambitions. You will never control a "fans buyout",because no-one trusts you enough.New investors may be put off by your'e involvement. But I have to tell them, your'e influence to date is minimal

It's a shame they're not doing the march.

Some of the season ticket holders could have paid their £800 renewal when we got the ground. Killed two birds with one stone.
