Today marks the 3 year anniversary of the arrival of Rafa Benitez at Anfield.
Benitez joined on June 16th 2004, taking over from Gerard Houiller.
In his first press conference , he said "I am a very proud man today because all managers like to arrive at the best clubs and we know Liverpool is one of the most important clubs in the world".
In 3 years he has led us to 2 European Cup finals(winning one), the FA Cup, European Super Cup and the Community Shield.
He has also brought some great nights to Anfield, including Juventus, Barcelona, and of course beating Chelsea twice a champions league semi final.
I think now after 3 years, the so called 'honeymoon' period is over and now he must drive us forward to the title.
I think this is his intention, that's why the transfer targets is taking so long.
Rafa, as we all know, is a winner. He wants to be the first manager of Liverpool to give us what we crave so much - the title.
Let's not speculate who is being linked with the club, let Rafa do his job. (I know it's frustrating, but so is reading is the same posts regarding who's linked with the club from the media.)
Happy Anniversary Rafa.
